The scarey thing is that it's obviously not confined to just one country. Over here, thanks to a cousin that worked child services for 30 years, I know of similar cases where the abusers were protected by a legal system that would look the other way.
If they were of a high social standing, they got away with a lot, in spite of my cousin continually going to the law to get these people prosecuted. It ended up costing him his health, through worrying about and tryig to protect the children in his charge.

I'll direct your attention to table 3 showing the clear-up rate for homicide over a period of ten years. Lowest rate in that period - 97%.

Does that include dissapearances that occurred near...pig farms?
