The 99-Pack of beer miraculously appears in the Lone Star State.

Because everything is bigger in Texas, an Austin brewery has made a 99 pack of beers for 99 bucks. Ninety-nine beers, in one case. God bless America.
In each massive case—you'll need two, possibly three people to carry the whole thing—you will find 99 cans of Austin Beerworks' Anytime Ale. But getting one of these two by four-sized packs is a little bit more complicated; you have to follow Austin Beerworks on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for all the nitty gritty (and likely worth it) details on how to buy this excessive beer log. Austin Beerworks says details on purchasing will be going out later this week, with shipments starting on Thursday.
Even if you have no intention on buying a 99 pack, you have to be in awe of this feat of engineering. You could do the limbo under one of these things.
Edit: On the preview the imbedded link is working properly but in the actual post not so much. Not sure what the issue is.

The Company was surprised by the reception. They only made like 30 of the things originally.

Being a foreigner, my only experience with American beer is Budweiser, which is roughly equivalent to rat-piss.
I hope this is at least a decent beer?

I'd love to see the price of that versus just getting a keg. The novelty of it is intriguing, though. That's about enough for a "Kronk is staying in the weekend" event, I should think. @Tibbsy, Bud is horrible beer. It's popular here because it's cheap and, at last call, no matter how fethed up you are, you can always answer "Bud." I've never had Austin Beerworks' Anytime Ale, though.

I think one of the articles said it was $1 a can, so $99.

Decent price for the novelty, depending on the taste. 5 minutes on google won't find me a price on a Keg and college was a long time ago... Edit: Spelling is hard.

Per the Company, it was a novelty item.

The benefit is that individual tins keep a long time while a barrel needs to be drunk up in a few days.

Five litres over a weekend (a mini keg from one of my local micro-breweries) is not really excessive. 99 x 350ml tins would be a different matter.

I don't, but I thought people here would like this story. Only beer/ale/lager I ever had that I thought was good was when a friend of mine that was from German that was studying at the the same University (Math grad student) came back from a Christmas break brought some from home that tasted radically different than the stuff I had tried in the US. For the life of me I cannot recall what it was either, but it was good and it was German.

Yeah. America produces a lot of bad beer. Perhaps I was being a bit too general. "I like some beers" would have been more accurate. No idea how good this beer is.

Meh, I never cared too much for it. The last German beer I had was Beck's, and it took me a couple weeks to polish off the six-pack.
