Lol @ there being people arguing (for either side) whether the new Knight is Overpowered or not before the rules are even released.

P.S.A. I won't read your posts if you break it into a million separate quotes and make an eyesore of it.

By the way by scale can me many things like wargear layout, rule layout (still waiting FW) and style,

IK there are 4 types you have the IK for the Imperial army's and IK from the adeptus mechanicus and freeblades these normally brake off from the other two and sometime's are modified to be like a mixture also chaos knights that are devoted to slaanesh.

I was doing some research and the reason the FW ones are taller its because of there function in the fluff lancer having flexible and longer legs being able to move faster over anything but this new one I am slightly confused on because it looks like it was built in the same way but its design would not give it much value for its role other then its weapon layout.

As for the size scale to a titan thease guys in the fluff are designed to be gaurds or scouts to there titans a model does not have the be taller or bulky to define a higher position but for what its capable of doing.

Any superheavy walker with a close combat weapon is overpowered if you play Tyranids

They are taller so they look more impressive

Haha true that!

That being said however , for the rest of 40k with LoW running around, Wraithknights in standard games, and all the other crap we see, its a bit silly to cry about these new Knights being OP when for all we know they could be worse than the bulk of the stuff i just mentioned

What is not titan sized about it ?

It's not about size, it's about organisation and other attributes.

Knights are not part of Titan Legions. They owe no fealty to any Princeps. A Titan is multi-crew war machine with an internal generator and the ability to effect field repairs and restore its shields owing to its technically ordained crewmembers.

A Knight is a single-crew powered armour that runs off a battery and can only support a single shield as a result. It also does not have the power reserves to restore said shield if it is broken.

A Titan has potentially unlimited range, while a Knight is limited in range by its power store. A Titan can mount massive energy weapons, drawing from its generator (usually a nuclear reactor of some kind) while a Knight usually relies on solid munition weapons because energy weapons would have to draw from its battery and thus reduce its operating range further.

I actually appreciate that explanation.

Having apparently not read the appropriate fiction, I didn't realize there was that much invovled in the "titan" classification.

It also explains the craptastic stubbers on the imperial Knights.

Oh the stubbers are meant to shoot people who climb on them off, you really don't want anti-tank weaponry shooting back at your armor.

Honestly, I think a lot of people who say "Knight Titan" do it to ensure people know what they're talking about. and that they're not talking about Grey Knights, some custom SM chapter (I GARENTEE you a few folks out there have custom chapters called "the Imperial Knights") or some warhammer fantasy unit.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

A titan is merely a title to the appearance of something from mythology something that can say rival a god

I do have to say that the Forgeworld Chassis really represents how large a Knight should be compared to other 28mm scale miniatures. I mean, the Epic versions of Knights are as tall as a 40K-scale Space Marine, on a 25mm base. The plastic GW Knights just look too stumpy. Their thighs are way too short, which the Forgeworld ones really fix that.

The biggest crime here is that the Cerastus Frame is super posable and that Knight is standing around like he's waiting for the bus.

Pretty much. Why take such a sweet kit, and pose it like a monopose plastic Knight for Epic from the mid-1990's?

I guess that just becase someone learned to paint miniatures doesn't automatically grant them insight into fighting postures, or dynamically posing models at all.
