So I'm sure this has been answered, but I'm a stickler for lore. I am building an Iyaden force but I want to use Purple/green as their color scheme. I realize it's one of those "do what you want" deals, but I was wondering if there was any lore around missing (or vanished) off craft-worlds? Could there have been Iyaden that were these colors? Or any other colors for that matter.

GW's useally pretty good at leaving room open for you to design your own subfaction of an army.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Eldar aren't Space Marines so I would assume the only thing that would prevent them from being a different color is army regulations.

There are several craftworlds floating around beyond the 4-5 that are featured in the Eldar codex. Knock yourself out!

Thank you, however now I've come up with the idea of making them suits if playing cards, ie hearts, diamonds etc. dammit.

Suits? Go for it! Harlequins need support, too.

To my knowledge the armor of aspect warriors either follows the general color scheme of that aspect, or the colors of the craftworld. Nothing customized.

HM Looks like the people I play against are just gonna have to deal, although whether or not I'll be satisfied is another question

Craftworlds look to be pretty uniform in their colorours fluffwise, but you could always invent your own Craftworld that uses the colours you want.
Here is some good advice for designing your own Craftworld: http://www.40konline.com/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=950

Iyanden wants to manipulate certain events without it being known that they are the ones doing this, so they are sending certain detachements with non-standard color schemes so that their identity is not discovered.

Or else just say it is one of the craftworlds not specifically mentioned by GW.
