I have the following models ...
megaboss
snakebite boss on super cyboar (counts-as Bike)
8 boar bikers (can be used as Nob Bikers or regular Bikers, have dakka guns for WYSIWYG purposes)
5 meganobz (converted out of plasic Nobs and bitz)
battlewagon w/ deff rolla (standard)
old ghazskull and makari (with a custom banner)
10 gorkamorka orks that can count as nobs,
dreadnaut,
2 trukks,
65 gretchin with 5 runtherds,
40 slugga boys plus 3 plasma cannons
9 Lootas
warboss
dakkajet
stompa
I have tried numerous configurations against this Eldar list (played five times only won once - maelstorm mission and i got strategic infiltrate)
His list:
== Summoning Eldar ==
2x Farseer -- 100 (guide/fortune/summoning)
3 Warlocks - 105 (conceal/reveal)
3x 5 DA Waveserpent Shuricannon/Scatterlaser -- 585
6 Warp Spiders -- 114
6 Swooping Hawks -- 96
3x 3 D-cannons -- 495
*Wraithknight 240 -- for 1750 games
He summons daemons to buffer his d-cannons and serpents of course. If you charge him - and orks really have to - you are in d-cannon range. Cover does not help against wave serpents. I mean really - daemonettes in an eldar list? Imlike the guy - he is nice and polite and good natured - but seriously?

Welcome to 7th edition...
Eldar are a bit gnarly on their own, as the current most uber codex, arguably.
Add in daemon summoning shenanigans and they get nastier.
Then try to take them on with the rather insipid new ork codex....yeah.
you CAN win, but you are overmatched no matter what.
Orks were pretty blah powercreepwise before, and got worse in many places after the updated codex, though a few changes were ok.
Orks can summon daemons too . Why bother though, as you'll just kill your poor warhead the first time you try. Plus it really doesn't seem orky to me.

Sounds like someone is unhappy with their new codex, orks are fine, but eldar are a super tough match up for them. I think volume, and low T cheap models is the way to beat eldar. Eldar guns are very efficient at taking out tough models, most of their fire has some sort of pseudo-rending but the volume is not what it once was with the majority of people taking 5 man DA squads.
Im not too proficient with orks so I cant give you a specific, but fast, volume of fire is what you're going to want.

I play eldar and I've played a few games against orks. Basically you want as many battle wagons with av14 filled with boys as you can get. Even shooting boys are pretty good when firing out of the battle wagon. Also as many dakkajets with as many guns as possible is powerful, especially for an eldar list like this that doesn't have much to rely on in terms of anti air. They are really good at taking out low toughness infantry like eldar.
The trukks are probably not a good idea. 1 waveserpent can and will take out a trukk in one round of shooting, probably the first one.
If you look you can see that a big unit of combat boys would probably beat any single unit in the eldar army in one round of combat. That includes wave serpents, psykers and aspect warriors, maybe not the wraithknight though. So you want to be looking for those first or second turn charges. If you aren't in combat with most of your army by turn 3 the game is probably over.

You can beat eldar, but you will be fighting uphill battle every time. Their codex is the strongest out here and orcs are nothing special. If the opponent is your friend, try to persuade him to alter his list so you can play more balanced games. Or maybe he can give you a few points over limit or so.

The single game I won was at 1500 maelstrom where everything went my way and it was still close. I did tr BW/dakkajet list but lost with that one. Also lost with my stompa list. Not that I was severely beaten and not that I have not been playing awhile but this list is particularly nasty against Orks. The list that won had none of the elements you mention.

The MVPs of my list were an outflanking boyz mob with a weirdboy casting hammerhead and my boar riders w/the 3 deffkopta ( h+r/scout/rerolls/fnp et all). They both hit his lines and havoc ensued. You need to try and box in Orks but with d-cannons and summoned daemons he both shoots the crap out of you and buffers. And his list will take down a dakkajet - maybe one or two only but he will take them down.

I'd take the old codex over the new one almost any time.
You could try mek gun bombardment on the artillery and other static defense stuff.
Problem with av 14 battlewagons is that they are effectively Av 12. If he brings lances they will be from the front,and frankly it's ridiculously easy to get side armour shots on them even if he doesn't, especially if you are as mobile as Eldar.

Just spam truks and boys. Make use of cover. I've seen speed freak orks wreck eldara day. Flat out T1 and get in there faces with 5+ trucks and 2+ wagons filled with boyz and or nobs. Enjoy several T2 charges thanks to good ole waaagg and boarding planks. Most anything save wraith Knight or seerstar will drop.

Not sure I would recommend truks with boys in them unless you got lots of things boosting their leadership or ard boys inside. BW's with boys is good and truks can be good with other units inside but I don't think I will take many with just regular boys inside. They blow up super easy and when they do you are most likely losing nearly half the boys inside to the explosion then testing on mob rule twice once for pinning and once for losing over 25%. If you don't get first turn you can lose a huge part of your list before the truks get a chance to move and if you do go first and get half way there before blowing up Eldar are pretty mobile and your boys mid field won't be nearly as scary in tiny groups. Maybe a biker mek with KFF might help the truks make it a bit longer though.
