advice I give everyone-
ally in a detachment of Iron hands for the chapter master (IWND and 6+ FnP)
drop auspex, take digital weps, drop fist take Thunder hammer, grab primarchs wrath (its actually decent shooting)
other than that... not bad.

Only primary can choose a different cad so no tripple pods as allies as thats broken. 1 ally including inq. LOW up to 400pts.
Erm, correct me if im wrong but arnt the legion of the damned obj secured as they are troops when taken from the lotd dex. If not then perhaps taking a gorgon chain chapter master might be a better option.

I don't know the answer to the LotD OS question but I do feel like the list needs a little AA more than it needs the melta bikes. I'd trade for a Stormtalon. Although if you could mine 15 points from somewhere, two stalkers would be ideal.

This list solely relies on alphastrike. Anti air would be either fmc or night sythes. Thing is, a necron army couldnt tank this army, so the night sythes wont do much. Fmc i could either alpha if going first or ig ore and go for their troops. If they choose to land yhem grav should get rid of them. Never seen stalkers do much. One storm talon could be an asset fot consideration but again...one is a bit underwhelming.

let me introduce you to Grey knights-
2 5 man term squads w/ lib and SW rune priest, ML4 lib prob gets cleansing flame- these can Deepstrike T1
1 10 man purifier unit in a space wolf drop pod- 2 cleansing flame units on T1. those bikes are in trouble.
then psy-shooting rends/wounds out the rest...

Huh....you're pointing out a random list which can 'supposedly' beat this list lol. Thats not very helpful. Also you do realise this list could get rid of those msu units very quickly and you will likely kill 1 or 2 of my biker units if you're lucky...nevermind the command squad o.O

I like your list Kill, your biggest trouble will be necron air or a beaststar or a fast attack daemon list. But its not gonna run you over and you can win those match ups with your list.
As for Grey knights...The cleansing flame is not as good as people think, I can tell ya first hand, I have been trying it out and its range and random 2d6, ap3, is very underwhelming. Its only wounding your bikes on 4+ and sure it ignores cover.. but its ap4 so you have decent saves. Just spread out a little, keep some units back.
The psi cannons would only have 8 shots, and maybe rends 1 time so you get your saves yet again against most of those shots.
Your retaliation/melta on the following turn would do fine.

??? How is this supposed to help the OP? Sure, a good alpha strike can hurt any army. He'll use deployment to mitigate as much as possible and then roll to seize. That's all you can do.

Personally i think that's pretty bad advice.
I mean, yeah, a powermaul isn't a bad weapon, but it is nowhere as effective as a powerfist(allthough i would prefer the Thunderhammer because of the Concussive thing).
He is the Chapter Master and he is supposed to fight the real scary stuff.
He has a 2+ armour save, so he get's to hit the AP2 stuff at the same initiative. He has an Eternal Warrior Stormshield and 4 wounds to keep him alive for a while.
Give him a powermaul and he's most likely not going to kill his scary enemy and a lot less effective against heavy vehicles.
