So right now I'm trying to get a friend of mine to play 40k. He played abit of a demo with one of my armies against me and he liked it thought after we had a bit of look thought the armies and well he doesn't
really like any of them. Well after i had a look over the internet i found a Covenant codex as he's abit of a halo fan. So i ask would you play against this codex ?

If anything it looks a little underpowered to me; your basic forces are very expensive for the amount of firepower they can put out, and the arsenal is very short on ways to handle tough units.

If your friend is a Halo fan I might suggest taking a closer look at the Tau; they're competitive, interesting to play, and look and feel fairly close to the Covenant in a lot of ways (excepting the lack of melee, but I'm sure some creative modeling with Farsight and an Elite toy can solve that one)

Well to be honest i really just give a run down of them and a unit of there army. As for the tau i think it would be a good idea as like's his dakka armies I could also give him some grots and green stuff to make
grunts.

Are there 28mm Halo models? Might make an interesting proxy army if you aren't planning on playing in tournaments that don't like proxies. And the Banshee looks like a Piranha already.
