Hey there Dakka, so I'm starting a Guard Army and I'm interested in taking Veterans with the respirator helmets, I know you can purchase them from Forge World however when looking through my guard codex I found some heads which look like what I want:


My Question is, are these heads the Forge World ones or can you get them from the standard GW range? If they are FW only I find it a bit odd that they include it in one of their codex while they don't include things like the Valkyrie Vendetta with 3x Lascannon. Any help would be appreciated.

On each Guardsmen sprue you get a couple of the masks that stick on to the normal heads. So they're not FW, although your have to hoard them from a few kits to get enough to trick out a squad.

Thanks for the quick response, do you know any bits sites which sell them? I've been looking but I can't seem to find anything, if all else fails I suppose I'll be looking at FW since I'll be needing a minimum of 3 Vet Squads for these

Unless they repacked the standard Cadian Guardsmen box to include parts from the Cadian Command Squad, I'm not sure about that.

I do know for sure that the Cadian Command Squad boxed set includes 5.

Can't find any online, so I think FW is your best bet.

Edit: looks like you're right, they're only on the Command Squad.

Yep, Kan has the right of it. The Cadian Command sprue comes with 5 of the respirators. What the pic up there doesn't show is that each respirator comes with a some hose attached to some kind of small monitor unit that is designed to stick onto the armour.

They clipped it since it really only fits on the Command Squad sculpts.

Yeah. Its a pain trying to fit it behind the guns on a regular grunt.
