Ragefist? Naw. it is the same pose as the Dragões and the Mighty Jotums-- although in the Jotums case it is holding a shield, which seems quite sensible. Of the 3 Squalo chassis, this is 3rd best. Still, an improvement over v.1.

But this is just a resculpt. Whither the Tikbalang? It has been years.

Seems like the web page is up, for the moment. Looks slick.

Snazzy new site, and the ads for the 'made for infinity' stuff are all down a few spaces which is an improvement to me.

Still has the direct link to each faction at the bottom so usability is still there for me. Except I'm not seeing anything like the 'models' tab that they used to have.... Where I can actually visually browse through all of the models for a faction. All I'm seeing is the store and it's half useless for such a thing.

Am I just missing it?

Oh ok If you click Infinity on the store you get something like what I'm familiar with but where are the neat little fluff snippets that make you want to buy the models? Hrmm. Maybe I'm still missing something.

Can´t find it either... Would be a shame, that was my favorite thing on that site...

Taking the two cover pictures on the Infinity website I was able to combine the two giving us the full picture which is awesome! It is a smaller resolution than the actual photos to be web friendly.

So CB decide to KILL (non ITS) merc list.

Will not the Merc list be back when they release the updated Army PDFs? Although they are a BRB listing, unlike ALEPH or the Tohaa. Right now, there are slim pickings for updated units in the new rulebook. Very slim pickings. And a fair number of BRB units are not in N3 yet. (no Mutts for Haqq, for example) But it may be interesting to make lists with just what is in the books.

I believe that CB is still in the process of migrating things to the new website, and I hope that the gallery of minis will be migrated. However, It's not like they spent, oh what was it, £4 million on it

they probably think no one used them ...

so it's dead for merc list ... more than 150 hours of convertion, painting and fluff for nothing xD I feel ... empty

They had said they planed to drop it even before N3 was first talked about. I think around the time they started talking about the 4th book.

Got my copy today, UPS man drove up as I was pulling out to go to work. I won't be able to read anything till Thursday though .

A few interesting things though, at least on my copy. The books don't fit all the way into the slipcase. They stick out about 1/8", not sure if it's a design to be able to pull the books out easier or just a goof. Also one of the books cover is 1/16" wider than the pages. It helps both books stick out the same distance in the case, but eventually theirs going to be page wear on the cover.

Hopefully Thursday I can begin working on the ABH, I have a resin beer/soda bottle that's just the right size for the rage fist. Might even make a 6 pack case for him to be carrying them in

You made yourself late to work for like only the second time ever...and you can't even read the thing until Thursday?!?

Without getting into rage fist complaints. What does everyone think with the CB design choice to try not to cover the chest area as much anymore? Did anyone have a problem with weapons that covered the chest area?

It's a bit weird. There are situations where I wish I could see more of someones chest, but they generally aren't miniature related.

Very few of my favourite Infinity miniatures have an 'open' chest.

In the case of the Squalo I find the gun pretty awkward. Is that style of weapon a reference to something?

It's somewhat excusable with the Squalo because of the way he holds the gun. He cannot hold it any other way because it covers his arm & shoulder.
It's also exclusively a shooting TAG.
No camo: not sneaky like Cutter or Sphinx.
No CCW: no swordhandling like O-Yoroi, Scarface, or Anaconda.

But still, Geckos & Iguana have either realistic looking or interesting poses. No umbrella arms.
Stuff like the Jotum or Raicho at least have something going on in that idle hand, a shield & GL respectively.

Ultimately the umbrella arm or ragefist isn't very exciting to look at, but it's forgivable if only a few minis in the range are posed that way.
Hopefully as they get better at the 3D sculpting they'll make the poses more dynamic than they currently are.

This would have been such a rad cover.

It would have looked better IMO to keep the original style and use this image as the cover for one book.
I have a hard time picking out the Anaconda's face/head on the Rulebook cover.

Its not a big deal though. I'm so pumped to try the shiny new rules and hack the world.

Mine is also like that. I'd have preferred one book, but it's not a big deal really.

If you're not on Giraldez or at advanced painting level there will be other distracting details than a surface that wasn't painted because the gear obstructed the brush. If you are at advanced painting level, you likely have an air brush that can cover those surfaces very neatly. Painting-stage-by-stage is also always a valid solution on how to maximise your painting, even though it can cause the entire process to take longer. It took me a while to learn this, but similar with putting their miniatures together, (poor fitting on certain joints, learning the exact positioning of the part, putting TAG together), I simply take it as a learning process.

Older models that don't carry guns are my favourite models in the range, however I suspect many others prefer their models armed with firearms.

Aww, smashing Nomads from their early age. Adorable.

There should be no rush to get Squalo. The miniature isn't going anywhere and perhaps lighter TAG will be easier fit in your army, once they're released.

I just noticed the Nomad Szalamandra TAG is not in the N3 army list. What gives?!

Don't tell me they've been phased out or replaced by something in the Acheron Falls expansion!
That's one of my favorite old guard minis!

The Szally hasn't been dropped, it's even in a photo somewhere - but like the Securitate it's getting a proper rework when Tunguska comes out as a playable Sectorial. For now I believe it's going to be in the army list PDF for Human Sphere and Paradiso units.

Notably, the model has not been discontinued.

I like that Anaconda art, and am I only one who would swap actual cover for that? Action is what Infinity have and curent covers dosnt scream ACTION, this art dose.

^I think I feel that way.

I dunno why but I dont' like doing models in parts, especially metals. So if there's a rifle covering the chest or a hand in the way of the face, I just grit my teeth and paint around it the best I can. I don't particularly love the look of the ragefist or similar... but I can certainly get behind painting them.

I still think the BS Riot Grrrl is the best example of doing the 'ragefist' right

Shame that it has been so long for Plastcraft Games to do any Infinity stuff; the N&R thread I started for them is now Necro territory--with the last post being June 19th of this year.

That is bizarre... Those colors... Where's the door? What is up with the roof? I'm guessing the roof is meant to look like it can close but blah. Then what about those big gaps that would still be on the sides. Oooh store your tags in our building, it's 75% more grenade-vulnerable than the competition!
