Same here. I've recently gone a little nuts on firestorm Armada purchases and gotten the ol' stinkeye from Mrs. SlavetoDorkness. I'd hate to see the laserlike glares I'd receive If i made yet another MM order for $110 (I'd just HAVE to buy two to get the free shipping of course...)

When did it come out? If you're preordering, you pay for the prestige of painting and playing it first usually. I generally don't preorder personally.

Most people did not get them until September though.


I wouldn't be surprised that they overstocked. CB did the whole spiel about "This is a limited edition item!" and for the time being, it is literally the only way to get anything for USARF that is not Hardcases or a Special Weapon equipped Grunt.

Some very good points. I guess for me the point of preordering is to either make sure I get it first and right away or to get some sort of preorder deal, neither of which really appeal to me much anymore. Getting it "first" doesn't matter when your hobby pace is accurately described as glacial like mine for the past few years and the preorder deals rarely are enough of a value compared with later sales to justify it. I fell into the kickstarter preorder trap one time and I'm still waiting for half of the sculpts two years after the supposed delivery date with no end in sight. The kickstarter was the last straw for my "enthusiasm" and I'm personally currently too cynical to plop money down sight unseen (whether in person or virtually via unboxing videos).

So now what do I need to 'complete' a USARF army? No tags. No hurry though. I may or may not paint them soon but they'll be on their own for awhile.

By pre-ordering you got Taylor Swift the dismounted maverick. Me, I have 90 Infinity minis that I need to finish painting. Most have the colors at least blocked in, but the idea of adding to that pile is enough to dissuade me from getting a box of 9 more minis. Now, one or two minis here and there...

What Kanluwen said, but bear in mind, there are going to be monthly USARiadna releases for a while, including a Clint Eastwood inspired biker. That one may be hard to resist. For use as a Kum proxy of course. Not starting a New Faction.

The problem is that Corvus Belli has a very...generous idea as to what "preordering" actually means.

It's not the case where someone preorders the box and then they got that model outside of the box. They keep putting forth "preorder dates" which drive sales online, but neglecting to note that if your local shop orders the item during that timeframe(or for a time afterwards) to maintain their stock levels?

That is still getting the exact same "preorder". Last year it drove The Warstore to order an absurd amount of copies of N3 and after the preorder period had ended, they made a notation that the books would not necessarily come with the ABH at the same price as the preorders. They also started, after a certain timeframe, selling the ABH by himself on eBay.

A bunch of people got upset about that, but hey. They didn't set the "preorder" timeframe. CB did.

You might want a 112 Emergency Service Doctor, too. Apart from anything else, at least one ITS mission objective is easier for Doctors to complete than other Specialists.

And has been pointed out multiple times, The Warstore were technically in violation of their retailer agreement in selling Not For Resale items separately.

I stopped ordering from Warstore long before the ABH shenanigans. Call me a dissatisfied customer. And let's not dredge this up anymore.

We just got the Mobile Brigada box. Seems we are due an O.R.C. box. Any news about that? Also new sculpts of the Father-Knight and the Reverend-Healer . Tidy up the outstanding minis from Icestorm.

Grimdork, Van Zant would be a nice add to USARiadna.

I'd be surprised if we get an ORC box before they're in a Sectorial. There's been no news at all on alternative sculpts for the Icestorm exclusives. :(

I'm personally hoping (praying, rather) that they'll make a Sectorial for Tunguska, along with some models/resculpts. :|

It's not really a "Clint Eastwood biker".

It's the unit "Desperadoes" and one of them was given a poncho. He got immediately dubbed "Clint Eastwood" as the face had a resemblance(like most of their "We need pop culture references, stat!" sculpts do).

Well, the updated list is looking like this:
PanOceania--Svalarheima and Varuna.
Yu Jing--Invincibles Army(HI Sectorial) and Svalarheima
Haqqislam--Caliphate and another one that continually eludes me. It's supposed to be bike heavy though.
Ariadna--Was supposed to be USARF and Russia. Now is MRRF and Russia.
Mercs--White Stars and Beyhan Resources Ltd; potentially a third Nomad based one. Dunno the status on these though.
Nomads--Tunguska and purportedly Black Hand, but Black Hand seems to have slipped out.
ALEPH--Originally we were supposed to get the Vedic, but who knows what is happening with that.
Combined Army--Shasvastii Expeditionary Force has been moved to here from Human Sphere.
Tohaa--Rumors at this point. Potentially an "old" style Colonial Force. Not much detail on them though.

I thought they were going to roll Black Hand into Tunguska similar to what they did with Observance and Bakunin.

I thought I also read somewhere that they were considering adding a Chaksa Sectorial to Tohaa?

Yup, that's the one. I keep thinking that Caliphate is the super-soldier one, but I guess that's the bike one? Urgh. Remembering names instead of descriptions is hard.

That's one of the possibilities that's been mentioned.
As of this point though, there's conflicting information. Some is that Black Hand has just been dropped, some is that it's rolled into Tunguska, and some is that it's being dropped from Acheron Falls for a later book.

Who knows at this point, beyond CB itself.

The understanding I got from that bit was that it's not "just" a Chaksa Sectorial but that it is of the races that the Tohaa have elevated.

Al-Medinat and Caliphate are the same thing (the Al-Medinat Caliphate), the other is the Gabqar Khanate ('the Kum sectorial').

The writer said he really would like to make Black Hand it own sectional, but not sure if he could. He also said he like to redo HS fluff when AF was next in line. So we likely will not know one way or the other until it gets closer to AF release.

Bostria confirmed at the Interplanetary there would be a Chaksa sectorial. Not quite what it sounds like - it includes Tohaa but with lots more Chaksa. Units already released are part of it - the Rasail and Gorgos, and I'd assume the Kumotail.

Al Medinat is the super soldier sectorial - the Al Medinat Caliphate. Gabqar Khanate is the biker sectorial.
