After thinking about it a lot, i'm excited to announce that Miniature13 will be coming to Kickstarter on Friday 13th February. I'll be showing of more concepts in the run up to the launch, including the KS exclusive. If you have any ideas on what you'd like to see please share them in the comments below or on our Facebook page.

Cool....I'll keep an eye out for when it starts
And although I'd really like to see a lot more of your stuff I'd make the point not to overstrech yourselves with trying to offer too much with your initial KS. If you keep adding stuff to it no doubt there'll be a whole bunch of us pledging large amounts which all sounds good, but by now we've all seen plenty of KS which bit off more than they could chew and ended up with a large disappointment factor.
A small selection of quality minis that get delivered in a reasonable time frame will have us coming back for more
Having said that...more please!

Think you have the high quality sculpt thing in check. Very impressed thus far and love the direction of your space lizard.
Only thing I would ask for his high quality art work. Something with more color and doesn't look as washed out. Thus far lot of the art is washed out black with glowy bits.
Have you decided a name for your game yet?

I'd like to back it, but I've had to seriously cut back on just about everything. It's a shame, too because I really like your art style. Even though I can't back it, I'd really like to see Scarecrow realized as a figure. And maybe some sort of generic troop type.

I could always pledge for you and hold it over your head for a bit...
If the lizard guy is getting offered, I may pledge for one for myself anyways.

Thanks for the advice I was thinking along the same lines. It'd be great to have the support that led to 50 minis gettiing funded but it would me a year to get them all sculpted, printed, cast and shipped, possibly kill me too! I feel confident i can get everything done and shipped in the time frame

Thanks, it's always a boost to hear that people are liking the final sculpts coming out
I agree that some of the earlier art wasn't perfect, but overall i really like the style that the artist has and i think it fits into the world nicely.
I haven't decided on a name yet, but i have time, it's unlikely that any alpha or published game rules will happen until late in the year at the earliest.

Interested in both this one and Black Rain, but I think you're much further along on the "gonna get my money" thing since you seem to have reasonable expectations on delivery. Not to mention that I want one of each of the things you've shown so far.

I'll chip you guys enough to sample some of the models. I've got 4 projects that are past delivery dates, 3 of them seriously so and combined it's almost a grand worth of stuff.. I can't imagine I'm the only one. I mention that because I don't think most of those companies intended to get into that position but they jumped in with a product very similar in scope to what you guys are doing without actually factoring in all the aspects of project management that needed to have been accounted for.
My point? Kickstarter trust is waining and my budget is stretched. Like I said.. I want to see you guys succeed but most I can do is check out some of your dudesmen.

I hear what your saying and i agree, it would be great to have the supprot and faith of people to bust through stretch goal after stretch goal but i'd spend the next year just fulfilling rewards and the company would be virtually stagnant for that time. Which is why i limited my stretch goals, if they are all met there will be a total of 8 minis, 2 of which are already done so i feel confident that i can get rewards fulfilled in the time frame I've listed.

Yeah I'm sorry but I'll have to echo that sentiment, for example whilst the raging heroes kickstarter is running diabolically late I'd say the sculpts are overall on a similar level and I'm receiving 36 miniatures for ~166 euros. Now admittedly nine of those are on the smaller side (all six of the lulu's and the three mascots), however the other 27 are certainly not. Whereas for 137 euros here you're only getting five miniatures unless those stretch goals start getting hit and even then it's capping out at nine currently assuming nearly 400% funded is achieved.
I love what you're doing and that KS exclusive is mighty tempting (right up my street as a concept), but those are like KD prices without the KD background to stand on.

I want to back, I really do. The miniature designs, aesthetics definitely interest me. They actually look like they will mingle well with my Fallen Frontier miniatures I'll be getting and a few other games I play as well. However there are two big issues for me.
1) Price Point: You've established it is roughly €15 ($17) per miniature. That is a bit on the high side when compared to resin miniatures of a similar nature. That price is what I would expect at retail pricing level. If that is retail then as a backer I don't necessarily feel like I'm getting any discount for backing. If that is discounted then I'm worried for future purchases that I won't be able to make because the price increasing puts it outside of my comfort zone.
2) Pledge Prices: We've established €15 so your initial pledges are priced accordingly (ie: €30 & €45), then we jump up to €85/€90 ($97/$102) for 4 miniatures. That raises the average price to €22.50 ($26) and access to stretch goals. It looks like the price is inflated to account for stretch goals, which makes it a gamble. If you don't get stretch goals then the price hike becomes over the top.
Edit: I did realize its Euro when I originally thought it was Pounds. Adjusted US prices accordingly, which is an improvement, but concerns still remain.

Yeah, I pledged for an EB in case, but it's not looking like I'll stick around. Being forced to get most/all of the minis to get the KS exclusive kinda kills it for me, since I'd be paying for a couple minis I dont want in order to get the ones I do, which effectively doubles the price for them.

Yup, pretty pricey but resin is a labodious task. Arena Rex was a similar price range without add on stretch goals, should do fine. It would probably be too much for M13 to do right now, but a cheaper metal option would have been ideal.

I really think the restrictive nature of the pledges is a big part of the turn off. The smaller pledges HAVE to be the first two minis offered. I think over time that will change, but as someone that is only interested in a couple of the options, I don;t like that aspect of the KS.

I've put in a small pledge to keep track of this, but I would definitely love a small pledge level that could choose different miniatures (such as the Controller, Scarecrow, or Tuesday if we get there... what a great name for a character love it!).
Edit: Some feedback from the local Infinity group is that they think the physical models lost some detail from the renders. Is this due to the printing process for the master model, or is it just that the material does not photograph well, etc? In that case it would likely be worth taking some primed photos to show the detail.

Totally jumped on that pledge level cheers. Might make sense for some folks to go together on it since it's 5 euros shipping (although that's honestly not bad at all, but someone local to me is considering pledging so it would make sense for us to combine at least).

The images of the woman I saw it looks like they didn't account for shrinkage. Her lips are almost non-existant along with some of her other facial features. I didn't mention it because I didn't want to come across like I was just bashing and frankly there's already a crap-ton of female sci-fi out there that I was kinda meh about her. The more unusual guys didn't look like they had lost any but I dunno.
When I say shrinkage I'm making assumptions.. when I have been a fly on the wall to conversations from guys like Anvil Industries or Mad Robot or Dreamforge, I vaguely recall someone mentioning having to account for the fact that the molding process will cause some detail to be lost. They mentioned that it was a lesson they had to learn with experience or something.. in fact I think it was Mark from Dreamforge.. but I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

I think it may be a little unfair to compare me to Raging Heros as they have been around since 2009 with their fantasy range. They also have an artist and sculptor on staff while i have to work with freelancers and my costs are higher because of it. I have learned a lot already and taken note of the mistakes made. The campaign is half way to the final stretch goal so i'm going to stick with it, i still have faith
I really like how the exclusive turned out and really look forward to getting her made=)

I've added a €15 level where you can pick the minis you want. It was an over sight on part not having this from the beginning.

A €15 level has been added for just that.
Tuesday is a good name, she started out being called Sunday then Friday but Tuesday ended up being perfect=)

Shrinkage is an issue and the pictures are not the best. I can assure you the details are defined. She will be reprinted at a higher resolution before production molds are made. The sculptor is Andrea Tarabella who is working full time for Raging Heros and the printing and casting is being handled be Zealot Miniatures, between them i think shrinkage will be a minimal issue.

It's resin. I'm not sure why the photos came out so shiny but it may have been the mold release as you say. The pictures really don't do Rayne justice:(. Both of them are being reprinted at a higher resolution. The printing and casting is being done by Zealot MIniatures.
