SO, I tried to come up with a REEALLLY shooty army: This is what I've come up with.

Much too easy to gain slay the warlord agaisnt this.

Hornets. no. Scatter lasers and bright lances dont mix.
Pulse lasers. And lots of them. Thats what you want.

I would go more like this:

Autarch
2x5 Dire Avengers
2x Wave Serps, scatter, cannon, holo
2x2 Hornets, each with 2 pulse lasers and holofields
1 Crimson hunter, exarch
1 Wraithknights

1 Medusa
1 Venom dedicated transport, 2 cannons
2x5 Warriors, blaster
2x Raider dedicated transport with dark lance
6x Venom (fast attack) 2 cannons


Wave Serps make it much harder to get slay the warlord, and bring a bit of ignore cover shooting should you need it (you might).
2 of your venoms swapped to raiders for a bit more anti-tank punch.
Hornets upgraded to pulse lasers, with 2 of them being traded for a crimson hunter exarch, you might need the Air to Air.

Ravagers (which are sub-par) had to be swapped out to pay for the improvements.
The really sad part is, point costs aside, the Medusa is actually better than the Archon. The fact that it's 35 points cheaper is just a slap in the face.
