I've just created this list from scratch. Some advice on tactics would be useful as well as advice on the list.

Are you going for a competitive list? Or just a fun list to play?

One of the strong suit of RG is scouting tacticals in rhinos, you can spam a bunch and have a whole army of objective secured units, making it near impossible for the enemy to get rid of all of them.

Otherwise if you're going for a fun list you have a decent build: I'd just suggest Shrike for a JP HQ as he buffs one of your assault marines (infiltrate) and fits the fluff more; I'd also keep the Ironclad with dual DCCWs instead of the hurricane bolter, he's a CC dread, not a shootty one.

A Chapter Master with Jump Pack isn't necessarily a bad choice, but it goes against using the Orbital Bombardment unless you intend on using the Assault squad as a counter-charge unit holding an objective. I agree phoenix about taking Shrike; or take a Terminator CM to ride in your Land Raider.

Are you planning on Deep Striking any of your Assault squads?

Rather than transporting your second Tactical squad in the Stormraven, I would give them a Drop Pod with a Locator Beacon. You can perform a Scout move with one squad, while your Drop Pod can land and provide the Assault squads with no scatter.

I was actually thinking about drop podding, but it goes over my point limit. I would also like the Stormraven to carry something.

Tactics:

Turn 1-
Scout Move Rhinos and secure as many objectives as possible, move up land raider to provide heavy fire support.

Turn 2-
Deploy drop pod, take out some enemy infantry with the tac squad inside. Use the locator beacon to deep strike the assault squad and Stormraven behind enemy lines. Then they have to deal with assault squads , terminators, a Stormraven and a tac squad at the back and 2 tac squads and a land raider at the front.
