Who has the low down?

The seerlord is dead and a new seer will be chosen may be tranquel and they mention all the 13"well 11" in detail.

Including how they all look like the clan moulder guy having many heads and tails heres hoping

Rumors say end times book3 skaven is due in january.

Read that there's going to be a new thanqeoul (or however you spell it) and bonebreaker plastic kit as well as a new vermin lord kit in plastic as well.

I can see them making the vermin lord bigger if they do redo him. Oh how I'd like to get one lol

lol. I almost picked up an exalted v lord at gencon. I hope that the v lord finally gets his own demonic gift list but I can hope in one hand...I do see them making the v ord bigger and more expensive

WIth all the monstrous cav coming out, I wonder if skaven will get rat ogre monstrous cav or brood horror cav or something. I heard something about clan pestilens getting more.

With all the nurgle in the end times, add monstrous cavalry that armies are getting..
My prediction, well actually it is hope, is that we will see pox rat cavalry . Then hopefully a new sculpt for the out dated plague monks.
Than quoll and bone ripper would be great in plastic too.
Maybe lucky and get a new skrolk
I'm not convinced that a vermin lord will make an appearance because forge world has the exalted one and GW doesn't remake forge world items very often but that is part of the rumors.

Out of all the old sculpts the plague monks are the ones I like the most but it wouldn't be bad to get new sculpts. Although I wouldn't buy any probably since I have 80 already lol

I'm not sure why they wouldn't release a plastic vermin lord since the other releases seem to get these large hero and lord models so a vermin lord fits perfectly. I do like the exalted vermin lord from forgeworld (except the price makes me not want him...his rules are awesome but 750 points lol) I actually like the current vermin lord but not in plastic

We will have to see how this new big nasty nurgle thing is and if it is comparable in price points wise to the 1000 point nagash. Then I could see them doing a similar thing with a vermin lord...the manifestation of the great horned one!

I'm gonna take a leap of faith and say "Eshin army".

Because I have hope for awesome instead of despair for biotech.

I could see Eshin, i mean the runners need new models as theyre still the old monkey rats. I could get behind it as well. I lov3 Eshin and frequently use 2-3 assassins.

Actually when you think about it last edition saw plague monks getting the furnace, some new weapons teams, abomination and the crappy catapult. If anything eshin was almost completely ignored.

Now I know it won't happen in the end times book but I'd like to see a little boost in Stormvermin stats, jezzails bumped up to bs4 and then maybe a the option for slings on clanrats

I'd like to see jezzails at BS4 but with sniper. Maybe bump the gun down to S5. S6 is a bit overkill for character sniping.

I'd like to see pox rat cavalry with the fast cav rules and be Core, and the ROBs be a monstrous cavalry as Specials.

And maybe be able to attach more then one weapon to a clanrat unit and make the WFT and Ratling Gun both move and fire.

And maybe a Skaven rip on the Dwarf Gyrocopter.

And maybe skaven will get eternal hatred and access to all the lores and 1+saves and runic weapons.

Honestly youre wishlisting too much. Skaven shouldnt get cave. Theyre tunnel dwellrrs, no place for cav, especially not fast cav. Remember this is a romurs thread not a wishlisting thread.l, and definitsly dont set your sites that high.

Skaven cavalry already exists though. Pox rats are mounts for Warlords, no reason they couldn't be made into a unit in their own right. Only problem from GW's standpoint is that would step on the toes of Forge World's wolf rat cavalry.

They exist in the same way abyssal terrors exist. In that they're exclusively a mount for characters.

I'm not saying it can't happen I'm saying it is completely unrealistic to expect great pox rats to be core AND be fast cav, especially with their M6.

If anything they'll be monstrous cav since they already 40x40 bases and be rares. The only thing I can compare this to is WoC and skull crushers, but WoC traditionally have cavalry.

Skaven are not a cav army & for the same reasons dwarfs didn't get their rumor / wishlisted bear cav, skaven probably won't get it either. You can make the case of clan moulder breeding them but again definitely not core & definitely not fast cav.

Uh the Nurglitch model who is riding a pox rat is mounted on a cavalry base. It's not to far fetched to give them fast cav rules since Skaven aren't an 'armor' army. Even if you put them in as a special they still fill a role because the Skaven aren't entirely subterranean.

There is already artwork of them above ground, and it's conceivable that they are used as a surface scout for the main army, or even in tunnels and underground a mobile and quick reaction force. (For example the riding lizards Drow use in D&D.) A cavalry unit is not to far fetched.

I really think this is going to have something to do with what their role is. Will they be completely independant just coming up to mess things up or will clan pestilins(sp?) be joining forces with the nurgle forces of the north? I could see it being pestilins or skyre or eshin getting the the spot light but i dont see it being shared amongst several clans.

Though you could see something like a counsel of 13 list involving the albino rats and a list for super seers and vermin lords. Its so hard to tell with skaven being so random and never having any kind of pattern. Its almost impossiable to guess their role in this endtimes scenerio besides gathering warpstone

I do agree that it is unlikely they would be core and fast cav, although it's not like core fast cav doesn't already exist other places. There is almost no way they'd be monstrous cavalry, considering the pox rat mount specifically changes the Warlord's type from infantry to cavalry; a Bonebreaker on the other hand DOES change him to Monstrous Cavalry. I fail to see what M6 has to do with anything, when most other cavalry is rocking M8. And Rares? Please, even at Core pox rats would be hard to justify next to slaves and stormvermin. Special, sure. Bonebreaker cavalry in rare? Sure, only becase Rat Ogres are already Special (and still almost never see play...)

Any new units are solely dependant upon which clans of skaven get the spotlight. If they go eshin, you wont see pox rats or any other cav units. If they go moulder you will see some new mutated beasts or infantry. If you get pestilins then you can consider some kind of pox rat cav. I seriously doubt that you will see skyre because they have so much as it is. I dont see cav being a skaven forte

Great Pox Rats are made by Clan Moulder, not Pestilens. Agree otherwise. The "shocking" tease above made me think Skyre though, as they tend to be the most popular of the clans to begin with.

Edit: also the whole "warp-lightning" thing.

If its mutated and likely to go horribly wrong and kill your enemy, allies and most importantly your much hated rivals - its Skaven.

They can have giant war machines, huge living behmoths, monsterous cavalry mounts, Deamonic and possessed creatures - in fact I am not sure if there is anything that the Skaven could not concievably have.................
