I run Inquisition as addtions to my MEQ and GEQ armies.
Some of the best (cheap additions)
2x DCA and 2x Crusaders - Throw them in a assault transport
(add more DCA, Crusaders, Priest and psyker for taste)
Jokero + Plasma gun acolytes and bolter acolytes.

I almost always include Inquisition.
Inquisitors themselves are great, cheap IC's that are extremely versatile -- not to mention the models are great. At 25 pts, they're better than any IG IC for sure.
I usually put a Xeno Inquisitor with the grenades and liber heresius in a conscript blob to scout them and make them nastier in assault. I also usually bring along a henchmen band of 2x Crusdaders 3x DCA's and 1 Psyker to buff them in a Razorback with a TL LC. They usually hop out by Turn 2, but the Razorback is surprisingly useful for a guard player because a mobile BS4 LC that is twinlinked is going to be pretty much your most reliable anti-tank (if you habitually roll as badly as me).

I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile to take razorbacks with autocannons and psybolt ammo, and if so what to put in them.

Psybacks with assault cannons are a fine choice. I tend to run them with 3 acolytes with bolters to make it a nice round 85 points.

I was starting to consider throwing a psyker. For 10 points you get an ML 1 psyker who could take telepathy. Probably won't do anything, but if your scream inflicts at least one unsaved wound, he's making his points back.

Personally I run Coteaz and an Inquisitor with Servo Skulls and a Psyocculum in my Inquisition/AM/SM/Knight army. I often want to get first turn (before my opponent can buff up his unit with Invisibility/Grimoires etc.), and Coteaz helps with this. He also keeps people from deep striking too close.
There are a lot of Eldar, Daemons and GK in my local meta, so the Psyocculum often comes in very handy in either my Infantry blob with Lascannons, or my Thudd Guns (makes it easier to barrage-snipe those annoying psykers).
Servo Skulls can be really useful, with AM you usually don't want the enemy too close, and the skulls really help here.
2 Acolytes and a Psyker is also the cheapest way to Warp Charge in-game, as far as I know.

I run psybacks with three acolytes with plasmaguns, two crusaders and a psyker who rolls on telepathy. not terribly expensive and has the damage output to make it a terror no matter what I do with it. I don't even care usually what I get on my telepathy roll. I just throw one dice at psychic shriek every turn. if it goes off, great zap something in range, if not, oh well I've got two other units on the board kitted out the same doing it as well.

My one concern with the psyback is that on average it won't open up an AV11 transport, but you have to decide to hop your plasma guys out before you see if they have some dudes to shoot at first.

Ok, I am going to let the cat out of the bag...here...in this thread...but keep it quiet...
Shhhh...
Take an Inquisitorial Detachment with at least one Henchmen Warband with a Chimera.
Take a CAD or an Allied detachment of Marines (I play Sentinels of Terra) with a Centurions squad (I play TL Las / ML due to the Siege Masters Chapter Tactic). You can take a four model squad for the purposes of this exercise.
Deploy the Henchmen Warband OUTSIDE of the Chimera
Deploy the Centurions behind the Chimera
On your first movement phase, have the Centurions board the Chimera!!!
Your Chimera has 12 transport slots. Four "very bulky" Centurions take 12 slots.
Your Chimera has 5 fire ports, so your Centurions can shoot out of the top at full BS at up to 6", and snap shot at 6" to 12"!!!!
I have yet to play a game where I haven't had my opponent's mouth drop open with a "...but...but...Rhinos..." to which I tell them, yes, you are correct, I cannot put Centurions in a Rhino...but THIS is not a Rhino!
The Chimera is not much in the way of armor, but since the Centurion has no invul, every little bit of protection helps, and it's much nicer being able to shoot out the top of the 55 point Chimera than sitting useless inside the 250 point LRC.
