-- Exception – Units that are added to various Factions by means other than the primary or supplemental Codex are exceptions (i.e., Dataslate Characters, Forgeworld 40K approved units where they are permitted, etc.).
-- Codex Supplements will be considered their own Faction, ie. Farsight Enclave, Black Legion, Crimson Slaughter, Militarum Tempestus and Legion of the Damned, etc.
-- In the case of a Forge World unit having a profile in a Forge World book and Codex or Codex Supplement, the rules in the Codex or Codex Supplement are always used.

Sounds like fun - I plan on attending. Do we need to reserve a spot or just show up?

No need to pre-register. I'm glad you will be able to show though. We should be able to accommodate up to 24 players. I'm not completely sure how many will show as we have about 18-24 people in the weekly league down here and the response to the tournament has been good thus far.

Basically, show up a bit early.

Quick update on this:

We do have room for 24 people comfortably, and can expand to 28, possibly 30 if absolutely necessary.

From what I have heard from the many invites and people that I have spoken to, we may hit that mark, so if you are coming down from LA or out of town, do show up early (10am) to make sure we get you into the event.

Thanks!

I wanted to post up the results and some pictures of this event (sorry for the delay in getting this up).

As for the results:

Best Overall - Marc McDonald (Necrons)

2nd Best Overall - John Weber (Tau)

Best General - Doug Johnson (Dark Angels Primary, Space Marines Ally, Inquisition Ally, Astra Militarum Ally)

Best Paint - Ben Nicholls (Dark Eldar, Eldar Ally, Dark Eldar Coven Formation)

Best Sportsmanship - Justin Jones (Tempestus, Tau Ally, Assassins Ally)

Quick Summary:

The format for this tournament allowed any number of allies (just no duplication) and some people did use it to full effect, while others did not even bother (the top 2 overall didn't bring any allies whatsoever).

16 players attended the event.

Doug Johnson made a big ol' deathstar that did very well but lost in the second round to a very balanced, Imperial Fist/Imperial Knight list (Played by Travis Knights). This was notable as Doug was the one that bought the most sources to the event in a single army.

Really good event, a lot of fun, and we are looking to do another like this on January 24th of next year. Enjoy the pictures!

Marking the spot on my calendar, which gives me time to designate a driver back to LA. Team "Beer Hammer" and all that, ya see.

Oh, yeah, you might wanna nominate the better watering hole in proximity, that is, walking distance to the venue.
