Miniature Market is dumping all remaining GW products in stock at 40% off.

Man, 30% off Warmahordes still, now 40% off GW - these sales are getting insane. I hope they're not having any financial issues / needing to raise a ton of cash?

I just received a small order from Miniature Market last night, and received my Warmahordes order from when it was on 40% off sale super quickly, too. I love using them, I just find the continual sales surprising!

I really like MM. I'm assuming it's just them dumping their excess stock. They probably do the vast majority of sales online and can't do GW that way. So they'll probably keep it in store thru a non-GW distributor but why carry the full range when your sales come from other areas. And their GW pricing wasn't much better (if it was better at all) then the Warstore who seems to have a pretty solid lock on GW sales and then there is Frontline Gaming too. Makes sense.

Well it says all remaining items... i requested a product list but have yet to receive it.

They are out of a lot.......

Email says it all must go, and will not be restocked. Seems there has been word previously the MM would not be getting new products. Looks like they are ceasing to carry GW stock for some reason.

Based on the rest of their store being regularly available, I don't think it would be financial decision.

Im willing to bet they are fed up with GW's trade account policy and its not worth them going through a distributer seeing as big as they are they pretty much are a distributer

I believe August WM/H discount was 40%, so yes I believe 30% is the new regular. Matches what http://www.discountgamesinc.com/ provides. Now the only difference is the free shipping threshold.

I live down the street from MM, as far as I can tell from talking with the employees there's no money troubles. They are dumping, have been dumping GW for a few months now because of slow sales and gw's terms for them ordering stuff. They have been getting more into Infinity, x-wing, malifaux and other game systems, all of which have better margins and support from the manufacturer.

They just went through their annual inventory, and I think they have a page which has listed everything they had left of GW (a hundred paint cups ) not much left paint wise or models either.

Just saved $300+ dollars since everything I wanted is already sold out

More importantly, if Minaitures Market is dumping 40K who is the next best thing in the US for discounted 40K ?

I am bummed about MM, ordered from them for years. Really liked the $99 free shipping threshold.

Living in NY state ordering from thewarstore isnt so great when I pay 8% tax on all orders.

Good. Mabye if a few more large distributors tell GW to feth off, they might have to do market research, or even listen to their customers instead of saying you will buy what we make.

Yeah, I received their item list, not much of anything left except Space Marines and paint

I use www.discountgamesstore.com for all my GW shopping. They offer free shipping on all their orders. It's 20% off the list. Not as nice as 30% but the free shipping makes up for it.

Only downside is that they don't offer the 20% on the finecast stuff but I don't care for finecast anyway so it's no bother.

The Warmahordes sale was them building up a customer base. The GW sale is them clearing out of their GW stock because they won't be selling them in the future. I.e. - they're using Warmahordes to fill the void left by GW sales - which apparently aren't worth the hassle anymore.

I looked at the list - there were a few temptations. (i.e. GW products priced at what they really should be more or less) but I've moved on.

Well, that's all great to hear, I'll continue to use MM! I find them to be a much better deal than the Warstore most of the time, although I tend to order Infinity through the Warstore as they get it as soon as it hits this side of the Atlantic. Everything else, though, MM seems to save quite a bit, actually lists how much stock they have of certain items, and ships promptly and free over $99. Hard to beat that!

l tend to like them for infinity and their deal of the day has sroely tempted me several times a month since I've discovered them.

I've used MM for a number of non-40k things before; X-Wing in particular is always, continuously sold out up here north of the border, but they've always had what I've been looking for. I'm willing to bet they get a fair bit of Canadian business, as their shipping is actually quite good, even with the USPS and Canada Post rate increases for international parcels, but with GW's trade policies, well, it's another area of cut-off revenue. Publications beyond core codexes are a royal pain to track down up here, and they stocked a fair number of them, but nope, GW won't let anything cross price borders, even when "GW USA" is "GW Canada," they aren't even distinct entities.

I do hold out hope that as more and more retailers drop GW, it might start to hurt GW. It is no doubt intentional on GW's part to drive away FLGSs, and force more business through their own webstore/retail outlets, but they're completely moronic if they think that will actually work on a large scale. My FLGS is getting more and more fed up with GW's distributors and policies, and if they drop the line I'm not about to drive 1.5 hours across a toll bridge into an area with no free parking, no washrooms and no food venues beyond really bad fast-food pizza for GW product at full Canadian markup.

I suspect that they have some things left other than the paint cups...those Hobbit miniatures still cost an arm and a leg even with the 40% off.
