If you're at full health I usually need to hit you at least two times, even with charge. Armour makes the difference. However, I do enjoy rushing her overextended position and bringing down the hammer.

Winston is a bit underwhelming with his low damage gun, but his jump ability makes him very solid on few maps. I like him and D.VA as I also enjoy mobility on my heroes.

I usually vote for a healer, if he did a good job with his presence. I do like they're keeping me alive but a healer shouldn't tag with the tank all the time. Especially the one who likes charging.

Tank is also important, he's probably going to be soaking a lot of damage on the payload. Lastly I look who made a meaningful contribution during the game. Pharah has a lot of poking damage but that's not really saying a lot, using her ultimate on meatgrinder Illios map and wiping out at least three of them is going to get my vote. Genji repeatedly taking out Bastion or Widow, maybe even forcing them to swap is also going to get my vote.

My pet peeve is Junkrats tire. I know you can shoot it down, but no one ever does, and it seems like they always go right for the glowing mercy wings. But even still, it seems like it can just instakill anything. With DVa's ultimate you can try and get away from it, but the tire can chase you down pretty easily.

Tire does 600 damage so yeah, it can kill most anything. I play junkrat a lot and some teams do shut down the tire almost every time. Thing is though, Tire can wall climb so it's fun getting weird angles on groups.

Oh, and mercy is the most important hero to kill in just about any situation, because her ultimate is stupidly over powered.

Yeah sometimes it seems like in some games I have to same player gunning for me, like they're in "OMG kill the healerz!!2" mode. Get's kinda frustrating sometimes especially when my team doesn't try to help or stop em. It's usually a Genji or Tracer doing it, but if enough of my team are alive I can usually jump around to avoid them

I like playing Mercy. Sure, her ultimate is powerful, but the tradeoff is that she basically does no damage (I'm almost never using her damage buff, and I only whip out the pistol if I'm the last one standing). The other healers still have other things to contribute. Plus, it's easy to find her to kill her: follow the glowing healing beam. I die a lot as Mercy, and, believe me, it sucks having to leg it back to the fight because her travel ability requires another teammate, who invariably has just ducked around a corner out of sight.

I dream of the moment when an enemy Reaper does his "die, Die, DIE" ultimate, killing my whole team, then I pop out and go "Heroes NEVER die!" and rez everybody. One day, it will happen.

One game when I played as Junkrat, the other team managed to kill the tire every damn time. So, it happens. At least you can hear the thing coming from a mile away.

I swap between healing and damaging. Don't forget that Mercy's health will regenerate when out of combat.

Some ultimate abilities are crazy, Junkrat, McCree, Reaper. Those characters are giving me nightmares.

My favourite is probably Reaper defense on Temple of Anubis. Enclosed spaces and excellent ambush opportunities. I often get fun things like POTG + 24 killing blows/5 deaths here.

It is odd how Reaper feels a lot stronger on defense than offense.

My favourite tank is Zarya. Looks great, difficult but very rewarding, and synergises very well with the Reinhardts you often play with.

I do not enjoy Tracer or Widowmaker at all, and I very rarely play Junkrat. Otherwise I play mostly everything. Hanzo is fun. I played LOTS of Mei in the closed beta but nowadays she just feels too dumb and faceroll for me. A good newbie pick I suppose.

I never really played Mei. For when I don't feel like healing or if I already joined a game with one I'll usually switch to Solder 76. Sometimes DVa because I just got her black mech skin so she looks cooler

I wish I could play Widowmaker, but I'm just not good enough for it (and someone else has nearly always already picked her). I do like playing Tracer, though.

But, I'm one of those rare players that actually plays the character the team needs, not the character I really want to play.

I always click Mercy as fast as I can But, if someone else clicks her or another healer, I'll switch. I can't do Widowmaker either, I'm not quick enough to snipe, I get some lucky shots or dumb people who stand still, but I can't kill people who are running around and jumping.. yet plenty of them can kill me when I'm doing that.

I can play Widowmaker. Quality of it varies from game to game. Can do real well in one game and go full "God no..." in the other. Hit level 10 and I got the Stoneheart skin for Reinhardt. It's a nice one. Mostly picking Mei, Reinhardt or Widowmaker, and sometimes Soldier 76 or Tracer. You almost never get POTG with Widowmaker though, especially if there is an Bastion or Hanzo in your team to.

I've used Mei a couple of times. Her ice wall ability is possibly her most powerful ability in a strategic sense. By deploying it carefully, you can isolate some of the members of the opposing team. Conversely, it also allows a player to screw over his or her own teammates in a way that isn't possible with the other heroes.

It makes sense that you'd find Reaper more powerful on the defense. I haven't used him yet, but from my encounters with him, he appears to do ridiculous amounts of damage at close range. As a result, any situation in which he can wait for the enemy to come to him is one in which he'll do well.

There's achievements? I haven't gotten a single one ever. on Xbox anyway. Usually games have a whole bunch but this one doesn't seem to have any. I'm pretty sure I've resed 4 people before (and died a second later), never got an achievement for it

You must have. There's an achievement for reaching level 10. Maybe it's simply not displaying for you?

Hmm, maybe.. I just hit level 30 last night I think.. or maybe it was 29, but still. Guess I'll have to look under the hood maybe I turned something off somewhere.

I thought I played too much but I saw someone that was level 58 last night

I've got two achievements on Xbox so far. One for preventing the cart from being pushed for a full minute or so, and another for the 50 medals.

Anyone seem to get weird matchmaking? And by that, I mean where you join a group of obvious PuGs/Pubs and are playing against what is clearly a 6man premade?

Yeah, I think I had a couple of those just now. Losing matches in less then 2 minutes is infuriating.

What's a PuG abbreviation? Getting a good play of the game as Reinhardt or Winston is pure bliss. The matchmaking is odd.

Ok cool, well, hopefully they'll fix matchmaking (being stonewalled in spawn nearly is no fun, when 2-3 of your teamates INSIST on playing tracer/genji and doing so poorly)

But other than that, it's been pretty fun when both sides are roughly even.

(and PuG = Pick up Game, some people use pug, some use pub but both mean the same thing more or less.)

Yeah I really don't care for the rush the spawn point tactic everyone seems to do.. I mean on some maps like Route 66 or Gibraltar you can't help it because the objective is right outside.. but I've lost so many games because people are too busy messing around down there instead of actually watching the objective. Hollywood and Illios are 2 maps where that tends to happen to me a lot.

I wish people would flank. If you're playing Pharah or Tracer I don't see why you wouldn't try to flank them on Volskaya industries when attacking. If Winston could jump that distance, it would be awesome.

Hanamura is also nightmare with ill coordinated team. I just want to grab Winston and Pharah and go for a flank, while Reinhardt and few others poke at the front.

Annoyingly I am failing to get achievements I got during the beta the second time around (on PC). I just can't seem to get the 4th kill and/or revive for Soldier, McCree, Reaper, D.Va or Mercy. Over the weekend I got my first chance to play full 6 man pre made teams and it's a whole other game. When Zarya drops that gravity bomb it will be followed up by a Hazo ult. A Tracer is being annoying on the left flank? No worries, I'll just tell my buddy and he'll mosey on over and introduce her to McCree's flashbang. At least when it's 6v6. Every now and then we played non premades and just stomped them into the ground. Reaper killed someone on the right? Sadly for him we all know he's coming now. He's a lot less dangerous when you're expecting him.

The biggest change to full teams though is that defense is a lot harder. It's easy to hold of 3-4 people with 6 on defense. It's a whole other challenge to hold off 6 that attack- usually with an ultimate or two- simultaneously.

Turns out I got 9 achievements so far. I guess they just don't ding when I get them... No idea why, works for other games

I got Play of the Game on Mercy for a crazy bit of healing. Ironically, the video cut off just as I raised three of my fellow teammates (one short of the achieve! ).

But I didn't get a card.

And to add insult to injury, the opposing team's support character, who healed a measly 29% of his team's damage taken, DID!

Word from Blizzard is that they intend to buff D.VA and nerf McCree. They're satisfied how McCree works against faster heroes but they don't like his tank melting potential.

I really like her. I am going to slightly disagree with the video I posted. She loves getting dug in, Anubis map on the attack, first choke point. Usually there will be Bjorn and his turret, if not Bastion too. Teams I played usually want to make a break for it as soon as possible, Zarya loves such entrenched positions and winning through prolonged bombardment. Because of her self regenerating shield, she's also less reliant on a healer. She can hold on her own for a small time, but she's not Reinhardt and lack of mobility can be really exploited. I am really impressed, I've never liked playing tanks but OW makes them feel unique and fun.

Had the funniest game with enemy team going two Genjis while I was playing Winston on Route 66. Zap! Here goes another Ninja.

Had a hilarious moment on honamura defense. Playing reinhardt and patroling the top floors on the 2nd objective when our widowmaker pops her ult. That reveals a genji trying to sneak in by me, so I line up my charge, and catch him just as he rounds the corner.

Might not have been play of the game (most of which are kinda meh overall imo), but it's been my favorite moment as reinhardt so far.

Been playing way too much tracer. i keep getting melted by random arrows and flippin widowmaker.
