Truthfully, it was a mistake of them to classify Symmetra as a Support to begin with.

Her and Torbjorn did not belong as Defense or Support. They should have been classified as "Builders", despite just being the two of them. Just like Widowmaker, Ana, and Hanzo should have been classed as "Snipers".

I'm kind of hoping our next builder is an Omnic who builds little drones or another former Overwatch agent. A guy who can build defensive walls or something like that would be kinda cool. Maybe a force field projector?

That would be kind of cool for a new character. I'm also hoping that more people will be willing to give Symmetra a try. Half the time when I pick her I can feel my teammates collectively facepalm, even on maps that Sym is good for

Symmetra and Torbjorn are tied for playtime for me.

Sym, with a competent team, is a scary as hell prospect. More than a Torbjorn even if you know your turret placement.

The problem is that people tend to just throw their turrets down and hope for the best. Can't do that. Her turrets aren't Torbjorn.

When D.VA gets darted by Ana, Hana's not actually asleep- just her MEKKA. So that's her furiously trying to wake her MEKKA up.

I'm still learning the finer parts of Sym turret placement. I try to place them around door frames/ceilings near health kits to catch people going for them. Alternatively I place them around blind corners to catch people off guard

Yeah before computer went support I was having fun trying out Symmetry. Turret ambushes are fun

It's been my experience that people always underestimate just how much damage Sym can do. Her main gun can melt nearly anyone short of a tank pretty rapidly

The difficulty I had with Symmetry is judging the effective range of her gun

Just had a great round as Sym where 2 of my teammates also went Sym. Turrets. Everywhere.

The trick is to get point blank and shoot. when you start from a longer distance they see the giant blue line of death (red for them i guess) then they know where to shoot.

if you get close and jump around them like mad then they cant target you well unless they are better at tracking (rare in quick play)

minda you should do that in full on chaos mode when everyone is huddled together at like a choke team fight or on a point. that gives you a better chance at surviving

That's how I got PoTG today. I just hopped around the payload and got 4 kills because they were so distracted by Roadhog in front of them

A Halloween skin would be just that; a skin. It wouldn't change the pose of the model during the character select screen.

Sombra has been a hot Overwatch topic for months now; have we not covered her in this thread yet?

If we haven't, now's the time to do it. Her release into the PTR is imminent, and we have pictorial confirmation of what she looks like. I'm just pleased we have a new Villain in Overwatch now - it's a hero saturated field

To be fair, I only got into Overwatch (and this thread) a few weeks ago. I've spent a lot of time since then studying for school, and reading the occasional Overwatch comic

Apologies if it sounded like I was shaming you for it; I may also have missed any discussion of Sombra here.

To fill you in, Blizzard have been teasing Sombra for months in many elaborate ways, including codes, puzzles, and even a transformation of the Overwatch home page to make it look like Sombra had hacked their page.

The image I dropped here was leaked 2 days ago, more or less. There is now evidence that it was sourced from Blizzard and is not a fake. Sombra should at least be in the PTR by the end of the Halloween event.

As to what she's going to be/do, no clue. People think she will have some cloak ability similar to TF2's Spy, but theories have been so crazy and wild; people have even suggested she will be a Tank.

Personally, I reckon she will be in the Offence or Defence classes, as some kind of backline ambusher.

Lore wise, she has been suggested by Reaper a lot, and features in one of the Overwatch comics in a line, I think. Maybe not a Talon agent, but definitely Evil. Yay!

There are many more - I think Stylosa suggested she might be a Tank of some kind. Some crazy theories.

I'm personally gonna wait rather than speculate any further - I'm just pleased that Blizzard have finally revealed her, even though technically they didn't want to.

I like the skins a lot, but Mei's highlight intro steals the show I'm afraid

The brawl also looks like a lot of fun - too bad I'm practically cut off from gaming till I get myself a PC

Haven't seen Mei's intro yet, mostly been drooling over some of the skins (the Pharah one in particular is creepy).

I also managed to get the Huge Rez achievement finally, turns out I only needed to be around the corner when Reaper Death Blossoms my team (who were caught in a Graviton Surge). One 5 man Rez later and we managed to defend the point and win

I was kinda hoping that Sombra would become Overwatch's Herobrine. Blizzard would keep teasing and teasing, but with every new character, and all the "Is this finally Sombra!?", they do the unveil and it's someone else. Kinda like what happened with Ana.

Anyone else really loving this event so far? The new brawl is a bit simple perhaps, but it's really fun, and the new skins/other stuff are really cool. I got my Mercy Witch skin, so I'm super happy

Only skin I've gotten so far was the Junkenstein's Monster one; which is "eh" because I don't really play Road Hog.

I did get Ana's "candy" emote, which is wonderful because I play Ana quite a bit. Something so satisfying about darting a charging Rhinehart off the map on Dorado or Lijiang Towers.

I want that Mercy Witch skin so bad. I haven't been able to get any skin at all. Been through at least 10 Halloween boxes the past day. The brawl is fun. But get's repetitive real fast. Good XP tho.

I got the Halloween Vicory poses for most of my played characters. So that's something.
