What were you struggling with, keeping alive or dealing damage?

Both. I could get in there easily enough, but I never seemed to be able to land enough damage on Mercy/Lucio/Ana before they either got away or I got murdered by McCree/Genji/Roadhog

The thing you need to do is to lure away the DPS characters so the Supports and Tanks are yours for the taking, if at all possible. Tracer's survivability goes up massively when you do this. Also don't be afraid to use Recall and Blink away from the fight if you're going to lose - it still makes you a threat that's lingering in the enemy team's backline.

Tracer can be tricky because you sometimes need to do a lot of on the spot processing. The best thing to do is practice in Quick Play, withdrawing from the fight often as said above, and slowly become more and more daring with your moves as your skill increases.

I've mastered the art of being annoying over my time playing Tracer. I may not get lots of kills, but I'm great at being annoying.

Then you're playing her right! If you can draw enemy players away from the main fighting with her, then you're contributing to the team just as much as the frontline DPS, since those players may as well be dead to their team anyway if they're chasing you

Of course, killing them too would be nice while you're at it certainly not necessary though - all you need to do is do enough damage to players while you're away to charge up your Pulse Bomb, then throw it at that particularly annoying Reindhart to clear a way for your team Rinse and repeat till you win

Unfortunately for me my luck is bad enough that when I blink up behind him and throw it he'll turn just enough so his shield catches it instead

Generally, I don't worry about killing people with D.Va's ult. Instead, I use it to clear the enemy out from a chokepoint or capture point. Since everyone knows that they can run away, and not running away will probably get you killed, enemy players tend to clear out when you activate it.

Kills are generally a nice bonus for me.

Sounds like you're doing fine with Tracer apart from that. Try out some practice games offline and see if you can hone your accuracy; learn one or two maps and their intricacies for when they appear on rotation. And most importantly, don't die! Kills aren't worth it if you die in return

You know, Junkenstein's Revenge is fantastic for training. Play McCree or Soldier, and just learn how they work, in and out, while also getting to play a super-fun-yet-not-truly-competitive game.

I've been playing Soldier a fair bit actually. Its not necessarily problem for me to hit people (other than Genji), it's just that I don't get very many kills (which is a rather crucial part of playing DPS). I'm eagerly awaiting the Soldier buff from the PTR (assuming it makes it through)

So what's everyone's thoughts on the new Sombra "leaks"?

My thoughts on Sombra?

She should have been released months ago. The way they did this ARG and the like has been butterfingered.

Instead of pulse bombing rein try and go for their supports who are a bit further away. bonus if you get a mecy and she flys to an enemy

on a side note i went from 2600 back up to 2900 the last 2 days.

The mechanics on the Pulse Bomb are all wonky now. It drops like a rock, so you have to get closer--and if you get closer, guess what Reinhart(or Zarya or D.Va or Winston...) can do that much quicker?

Well, I guess game balance is a necessary evil, and balance has to include counters that nullify certain Ults as well, so I don't think any talk about shields being able to block the bomb is really making a point.

Tracer's Ultimate works best when you're attacking from behind so any shield Tanks won't see you to block the Pulse Bomb, or in combination with Zarya's Graviton Surge. It does charge pretty fast too, and considering the damage it can do, I think it's pretty fair that it has counters, just like a lot of Ultimates do.

She is a leg person not an arm person

but of all the people she should be capable of getting into literal point blank range to slap that bad boy on anyones bumb.

Seems like every time I blink into bomb range I get headshotted instantly, but that's just my bad DPS luck

Honestly, I think of Tracer's Ult more like an additional normal ability rather than an Ultimate ability. Recall is more of an Ultimate for her.

1: First, sling it at people from unexpected angles, and when they're engaging your team. For a tank, she's a really great flanker, and I get good results when I can get behind the enemy team and drop it on them. Boosting the mech to a point above the enemies and then ulting is a classic, because it's another second of looking round rather than running from it. Just make sure that nobody's watching you when you ult--try to launch it from out of LOS of the enemy team where you can. Over the walls in Hollywood or down the chimney on the Ilios resort map, for example.

2: Try to use it when the enemy are already engaged and distracted. If you have Mei or Zarya, try to combo your ult with theirs.

3: If Reinhardt is there, make sure his shield is drained, or that he has to choose between blocking the ult or blocking the rest of your team. Mei and Reaper can also no-sell it with their invulnerabilities. On the other hand, Bastion or Torbjorn's turret are great targets.

4: When you eject, the enemy team will likely be running rather than shooting, so get in their grill and blast away with that pistol.

5: Sometimes you don't need to get kills. If you've got overtime going on for the win or need to clear a payload to push it those last couple of metres, you can simply ult to force the enemies to clear the area.

(edit) The first clip in here is possibly the best way to use it, though.

Managed to get a triple kill on Ilios by nuking the enemy spawn with D.va's ult. I'm such a bad person.

I only watch Unit Lost from time to time for a bit of factual info and game advice. However, recently he's turned more to rumourmongering, which I'm not very keen on.

The Overwatch community on YouTube is starting to stagnate - it's pretty common when a game becomes as popular as Overwatch has; those people who have 90% or more of their content dedicated to Overwatch are running out of things to say and comment on, outside of theories and rumours.

Rule no.1 of gaming on YouTube - unless it's Call of Duty, don't let a single game sell a channel for you once it starts to die down, you'll be left with nothing to expand on since nobody has known you for anything else other than that game, and will most likely unsubscribe or stop watching your videos on a regular basis.

I mostly watch Galm's Overwatch content, although I've heard good things about Zylbrad
