Not that similar questions have not already been asked:
I was thinking on getting the Iron Hands figure bundle from FW and just wanted any feedback on FW figure quality. Any major problems? What issues, if any did US customers have? Although I can afford it, I still need to convince myself that buying 21 Space Marines when I could get almost 60 for the same price is worth it.

Quality is kind of mixed. You'll almost certainly have to do some cleanup work (simple gap filling, straightening warped parts in hot water, etc), but the problems are rarely severe enough that they can't be overcome with a reasonable amount of effort. This isn't finecast where the miscast rate is almost 100%, bubbles frequently destroy detail that would require major sculpting work to rebuild, and even when you do get one without too many miscasts it will probably bend or break before you even get it on the table.
Customer service is good. If you do have a defective part that can't be fixed they will replace it with few, if any, questions. The only real issue here is that they're inconsistent at responding to emails and it can be kind of annoying (and expensive!) to call them from the US with such a big timezone difference.

Ive done a sternguard squad entirely of bits from there, MV III and IV armor, some of the bolters, character upgrade sprue, a weapon pack and some other odds and ends. Had a bit of flash on the bodies, cleaned up nicely.
The weapon sprue and bolters looked good, but the character upgrade sprue was misaligned. The bionics, fist, sword ect looked fine, but the bolt pistols and plasma pistol looked atrocious. Contacted customer support, sent some pictures and got a new sprue
My father ordered r'ymer and some suits from them for xmas. March came and they still hadnt been received. He emailed them, and they were replaced without question. Then the first order of suits arrived back in japan, where he was stationed and had them shipped to, about may.

Dont call direct. Call GW US and ask to be transfered. I have done this.

Huh. I guess that would solve the price issue, even if it doesn't help with the timezone difference. Are you sure you only got billed for a US call and not at the international rate once they transferred you? And which GW US phone number did you call?

This sounds like a shipping issue, not a FW issue. I had a similar thing happen, I received the "package shipped" notice from FW but a month later it still hadn't arrived. FW assumed that it had been lost in the mail and replaced it, but eventually the original package showed up with no hint about where it had been for so long. There's nothing you or FW can do about that kind of situation, other than send out a replacement order and hope that the next one doesn't get lost in the mail.

I called the number for direct sales. Last 4 numbers are 4263. I used my cell and never saw a price jump.

I purchased a Thanatar Siege-Automata amd two smaller kits in September of this year. Everything was well cast (the Thanatar was crisp amd nearly flawless), but I think you will find that casting quality can be hit or miss at times. Shipping was lightning fast: exactly one week from order to delivery. My only quibble was that the packing was a little shoddy. The box was pretty flimsy, had split at the corner, and I was very surprised nothing had fallen out.

I've never really had any problems with FW models, a few hot baths to fix some resin and green stuff fixes but nothing major. Customer service is very good, they usually get back to you fairly quickly. Talking from across the pond can be annoying since our afternoon is their night so it may take a while to get stuff fixed.

Forgeworld quality has been okay for me, but almost every kit has had something broken or warped. Often that is incredibly minor (a handle or a rung on a ladder). Often is is very minor warping on very thin parts (easily fixed with hot water). Sometimes it has been more serious. However, they have always been great about replacing anything that isn't easily fixed. But if you are expecting perfect models out of the box you will not be satisfied.
My ONLY complaint is that FW uses the weakest cardboard boxes I have ever seen. Stuff is well padded within the box, but their cardboard is insanely flimsy. Does the UK have some 'maximum cardboard strength' regulation or something? I mean, the US GW boxes have been fantastically sturdy (I'm still using some I got 10 years ago) but the FW ones seem like they were left out in the rain and then dried out!

General rule of thumb is the older the model the worse the cast. Power swords tend to be a bit poorly cast as well. However certain models still sucked even when they were fresh such as the Storm Eagle. Also random models seem to have problems, I've had one of each of the three different types of Cerastus Knight and only the Acheron suffered from a huge amount of flash.
However FW's customer service has always been second to none, I had an issue with an order I placed 4 years previous and they still sent out replacement models. Any major casting issues and they will sort them out with replacements.

If I spent a few hundred bucks on a model, damn thing aught to be flawless. Any other model Ive gotten at that price point was.
With that said, all of my FW models have been. Minor resin-related issues, but those cant be avoided.
