So I'm working on a skirmish game set in the near future 'after the collapse' as it were. I need a small(ish) number of minis to represent the different factions & my google-fu fails me. Models would be best in or near 28mm. Without going into too much detail for my poor smartphone the factions are as follows (+10 points if you catch the jokes in the names):
Communers/ The average joes of the setting. Small towns with no dedicated soldiers. Looking for the armed civilian or maybe simple armor & weapons.
Regulators/ Soldiers & criminals press ganged into service. Think they're the new law. Many do not agree. Looking for modern esque soldiers but maybe a bit more 'roughed up'.
Vultures/ Remnants of survivalists from pre-collapse. Well equiped & decently trained but cowards at heart. Open to suggestions for this one.
Jackals/ Packs of half feral humans abandoned by whoever took them in before & left to rot. Looking for starving refugee looks. They need to look desperate enough to charge a soldier with a spoon over a can of beans. Children models appreciated.
Wacos(Pronounced wackos)/ A mix of religious doomsday cults, raiders, & people who just want to watch the world burn. Emphasis on fire. Once again open to suggestions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys.

There are several that could fit. EM-4 miniatures have some pretty good ones that also happen to be very cheap. They are a bit old school, but the sculpts are still very nice.

It is an oath we honour. I also recommend Pig Iron - I use them for Brotherhood in my tabletop Fallout RPG.

Also leaning towards Fallout is Brother Vinni - complete with Enclave and Brotherhood.... and not-deathclaws.

Lead Adventure has some very good scavenger types for PA gaming (in the States you can get them through Cool Mini or Not).

I'll try to remember to post images soon - my interweb is being ssslllooowww....

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.

I'm a big fan of EM4, and Pig Iron. Quite a few of us in the club use them for post apoc.Other sources with some options include.

-Trollforged games has some pretty cool "ganger" options.

-Kalistra has a small selection of post apoc types that fit in well with EM4 models

-Iron Wind Metals makes the "Shadowrun" line of figs that has some good stuff.

-East Riding Miniatures has alot of wacky post apoc types.

-Wreck Age has alot of great figs that would fig some of your archetypes, but they are for a specific game, so that might not be as workable.

-Lead Adventure has a number of factions for post-apoc gaming including alot of "not" versions of famous post apoc characters.

-Reaper Chronoscope. A great source for characters. The only drawbacks are that you won't find alot of coherent factions, and many of the figs are 30mm+ in size.

-Foundry has a huge number of urban post apoc types, and many that are stylistically compatible with EM4 and Copplestone (who share the same sculptor). I think Mark copplestone might have sculpted some of the range

-For military types of varying degrees of formality, check out The Assault Group (TAG) and Empress Miniatures.

After you're done checking out these, check out the blog "Mattblackgod's World"

Oh eck, a topic like this raises its head again, guess I'll be copy and pasting my old links again.

Nah, really if you're looking for anything in this vain this board is where you aught to be looking for inspiration and useful info. In particular though I'd highlight the Compiled list of Fallout Miniatures and Zombie and Hunters Manufacturers threads, though the former's perhaps more expansive and varied (including animals, mutants, robots, etc, but those are probably for the most part out of the bounds of what you're looking for). Yeah, but aside from what's been stated, you may find something else of interest over there. Given that I mostly just play post-apocalyptic games (Fallout and zombies), I can say that that board really my go to place for this sort of thing.

Probably called out in the Lead Adventure pages...but don't forget your games like Void/Metropolis, Kryomek, Mutant Chronicles and the like. Some of them are more civilized than your average post apocalyptic gangs might be...many of them are not though.
