Subject: It's been a while... competitive inquisition

Devestating Grey Knight Dreadknight

Hiya folks, it's been a while since I played 40k and just getting back into the spirit of things with the new 7th and realized that a few months away has turned all of my codexes inside out and then some.
Anyways, looking to try and build a competitive Inquisition list and I'm scratching my head at the thing now. I used to have a very fluffy though effective GK + sister's list with some decent synergies at 1500 though by alot of new tourney rules, to rebuild that list now will require like 2 -3 different allies which most torunaments tends to ban.
I'm looking for advice on how to restructure the whole darn thing. I can go with GK, sisters, IG or (AM now I guess though I run all steel legion and Krieg models and have IA books), or even SM. I don't have any of the imperial knights though I am building one in the backroom. Heck, even a full set of Eldar is available. Any faction I have at least 1500 points of so I can build just about anything (cept the new space wolf flyers, no model for that, but plenty of cron air if that's what's required)
I'm looking to see what's going to be a better competitive build containing Inquisition. Even after the break up, I've done some soul searching and decided that I still like those guys the best.
So what's going to be the more effective use? Mind you I plan to use bound and standard tournament CAD limitations.
Draigostar?
AV13 wall of sisters?
mech vets?
Airborne IG?
Centurion star (deathwatch centurions) ?
Henchmen spam with double inquisition? (up to 6 monkeys cause that's all I got anyway, plenty of servitors though)
or maybe even the heretical wave serpent spam with a touch of wraith knight?
I'm building 1500 so there is going to be a limit to the madness here.
Any ideas will be welcome. Playing with regulation terrain with center blocking something generally and fair assortment of ruins /hills each board. Using the BAO style rules for those curious.

Draigo is now very good.
Librarians are the defacto standard for GK HQ's.
Dreadknights are now an auto-take for most GK armies.
The deadliest GK army nowadays - sadly - are GK/Space Marine Centurionstar.

You could do a draigo attached to purifiers for a goi deep strike turn 1. Run terminators with 2 ml3 librarians and 2 dreadnights... that would be around.
Deep strike everything but draigo and the purifiers and the goi them into the fray. That should be close to 1500

He said in his op it could be gk sob inquisition or am. I play grey knights so i suggested knights. Because of the way the inquisition detatchment works, it is really hard to field an effective henchmen list with just 3 War bands.

I like to use this for a good all around Inq allied force. It comes to 739 so lots of pts to make your main force with.
Coteaz
Inq Terminator armor,Psy lvl1,Psycannon, 3x servo skull
Henchmen squad: 2x Laz Monkey, 2xHB Serv, H Plasma Serv, Psyker, 6xBolter Acolyte, Psybolt Razorback
2x Laz Monkey, 2xHB Serv, H Plasma Serv, Psyker, 6xBolter Acolyte, Psybolt Razorback
4xCrusader w Power axe, 6xDeath Cult Assassin, Psyker, Psybolt Razorback
I tend to put Coteaz in one Laz Monkey Squad and The Inq in the other. I put the Melee Squad in an allied Assault vechicle (I use GK Storm Raven) Servo Skulls do their thing to deny the board/reduce DS scatter. The force produces 6WC for powers.
I use the Razorbacks as obj grabbers.
Oops edit I sometimes give the Inq the book wargear that lets them get some cool special rules as well I think it's 20 or so points dont have the info here atm.

Hrm.. thanks for the replies so far. It seems like w/o GK, it'll be pretty tough to get the warp charges one needs to make psychic inquisitors make much of an impact, 6WC seems like I'll get off like 2 powers probably so one divination and like one nuke of some sort (darn, and I have like 16 battle psykers). GK though with just INQ seems to make it into a mostly assault army as psycannons are pretty bad on anything not terminators. I'm not seeing too much synergy with some of the stuff but I may be missing alot of issues.
Maybe Draigo with a bunch of death cult + crusaders? (still seems like it'll be kind of slow with just GOI and have to wait a turn to assault. GOI and dev centurians have just the right subset of rules to make them synergy really nicely.
Think Inquisitors would benefit a gunline army much?
What I'm seeing as big challenges so far to be successful in 7th looks like a list needs to deal with --
big tough MC's (riptides/WK/DK/nids) - counters with force weapons, Grav guns, lascannons/meltas - high str/low AP weapons prefers ignore cover
Flyers (while people says it's less of an issue, I still see flyers as a big part of some builds like cron air that are quite strong still) - counters with your own flyers, AA guns, or just volume of mid range strength 7-8 weapons -
invisible deathstars (often shooty) - counters with massive volume of fire or culuxus assassins
waveserpeants - counters with lots of ignore cover, rear armor (i.e. maneuverable shooters or assault)
Imperial knights (or how to pen AV 13 -would also work on countering necron/sister/IG high AV walls preferrably without getting stomped) - volume of higher end strength weapons
Objectives - counter (sorta = highly survivable obj sec and or killy things w/o obj sec)
I'm seeing some trends here... Did I miss any major tropes?

more random thoughts have occurred to me....
Coteaz + lazcannon centurions in a bolster'ed ruins should be a pretty good backfield camper
Sisters with some counter assault henchmen (DCA's+crusaders) and repentia can hitch a ride within chimeras (or just go with more repressors)
Or maybe psyocculum retributors?
TDA inquisitor with psycannons amongst GK terminators/paladins seem like it'd be decent with divination backing. Some cheap henchmen squads to camp home objectives (though not obj sec)
Coteaz along with servitors holding down the fort to guard the pask punisher squad from deep strike meltas also seem like a good synergy.
Other than that, I'm not finding much more synergy unless I'm missing something...
