but then again I don't do hour-long airbrush sessions; I use mine mainly for basecoating, washes, and glazes, sometimes some preliminary shading.

Yeah it's my fault, I tend to use it to base coat or wash or zenithal highlight 5000 points in one go, or 5 big pieces of terrain and such. It's not exactly the best tool for that job, I guess a real paintgun would be done a lot faster, but that's yet another investment.
