Beasts is going to be a Beastman... if it was going to be a Wood Elf, who it should go to by all rights (but then, I say the same thing about Life, so ) then it would have been in Khaine.
Who knows, maybe Skaw will get Beasts.

Remember though that the Wind of Shadow bound itself to Malekith by its own choice, not Teclis'. Several of the Winds broke away when Teclis temporarily lost control of the Vortex when Morathi attacked and distracted him.
Personally I'm getting the idea that each of the 8 Winds of Magic will somehow have to work together in order to stop the Chaos Gods, so I'm highly doubting that Beasts will end up infusing a Beastman.
However several people have Quite correctly pointed out that Light was infused into the Moon Staff of Lileath and not Teclis himself... Which maybe makes we wonder whether or not Teclis is truly still alive. Guess someone's gonna have to go for a swim and get the staff if my original theory is going to hold up. Highly doubt it. Chaos Dwarves aren't going to be that central to the End Times considering they aren't one of Fantasy's mainstream armies anymore. Fluff wise it has merit, but GW won't give that much of an important plot point to an army that they phased out ages ago.

Shadow wasnt one of the lores that broke away, ir also makes it pretty clear that Teclis gave Malekith Shadow intentionally.

He gave shadow to Malekith because it was one of the three that were left that he had control over.
I believe that Teclis is still alive whilst bearing his staff.
I love the idea of all three elven factions in one. I have read all of the background before the sundering and Malekith was freaking awesome then. It was Morathi that did him in (Glad she is dead).

Is she ? Did you read the whole book ?
She got grabbed by a claw and pulled into a portal, but are we certain she's dead ? I'm not so sure. I fully expect her to make a reappearance as a character for Slannesh someday.

hmmm, That does not sound conclusive given her many pacts and agreements with the Daemons of Chaos - either she will get out of it or as suggested become a fully fledged Daemon Princess of Slaanesh (or both)
Khorne brought back Valkiria (can't recall her exact name) in similar way

Yea I read it.
I was just praying to the divine powers above that she doesn't return....The fact that she will reappear will reaffirm my belief that GW has it out for me.
I dislike her for her role in all of the books that I have read during and after the sundering. Malekith was finally be rid of her before Bel-Shaanar died, but she lured him back under the pretenses that she taught him to master his gift of magic.
I just hope she never reappears.

One thing I'm curious about:
Are the Eternity King forms of the characters written with wording that makes them playable without using the end times magic rules?
Pretty much asking as I can foresee a lot of people fine with everything else refusing to play with those in effect.

I would believe it would be up to the players. I own Storm of Magic; when we play a game of warhammer, we just toss in the extra 25% for monsters/magic items and leave out the rules for magic. It makes it fun for all of us. So you don't have the insane ward save and null-multi wound wizards going nuts. Just good old monster mash!

Officially if you use a ET elf list you must use ET magic.
Unofficially GW can't force you to use ET magic so decide with your opponent.

I am trying to get my head around this,
Malekith had the right to the phoenix Throne. Ok, that makes sense. He was cheated of that right. That makes sense to.
Then he decides that if he cant be king he will destroy the continent and massacre the people. after several near successful attempts the elves think 'bygones'. That doesn't make sense.

They don't think "Bygonnes" they think, "Well there's a major chaos incursion. We can join together & maybe survive it or stay separate because that has been going so well for us. And you know what, Malekith may be a horrid tyrant but he's one of the best warlords of all time & what we need right now IS a warlord."

Basically I'm just asking if the actual "Eternity King", "Incarnate of Life" and so on statblocks are directly incompatible with regular magic rules for any reason.

Might help to think of it more as the Dark Elf King and the Everqueen having what is effectively a political marriage of their states for the sake of survival in the face of the apocalypse.
That Asuryan gives his divine blessing to the idea is a pretty solid bonus.

It's more Lileath gives ger blessings since she is the last of the original elven gods. Asuryan just gave his blessings to Malekith. She wove the entire fate to rid the elves of ones who would interfere with re-unification.

The new Malekith is very strong, but the change to magic keeps him in check, as searing doom spam will make short work of him. Never played against the new Alarielle, so I can't comment. I think they wrote the characters after the changes to magic, though.

Both Alarielle's are phenomenal. They can be utterly obnoxious used properly. The only failing of Avatar of Isha (who's point cost and abilities i actually sorta like more) is that she can only be taken in the less intimidating and more limiting Host of the Phoenix King. Whereas Incarnate of Life costs a more reasonable amount given the fact she's in Host of the Eternity King.
If you take her, either version, you're taking her for her awesome magical loadout capabilities, but also for the fact that she turns your entire army into a ridiculous bunker when used properly.... Avatar probably slightly better than Incarnate due to Avatar passing out to units with 12" a 5++ ward (including hers!), and Incarnate passing out 6++ ward and Regeneration (which, side note... i wonder if regen is going to work differently in 9th. Just seems odd that one model would pass out both a ward save and regen... i mean i know fire can negate regen, and then you have the ward to default to... but still).
You can do some really, really obnoxiously defensive stuff with her in lists. It's a piece of cake to have almost an entire army rocking 5++ or better ward saves if made properly. Couple that with level 4-5 Lore of Life, and ... yeah.
Let's not forget that she heals things around her (or ya know, everything and herself), and the incarnate of life can feth up things from forces of destruction with 3 attacks at WS 6, Ini 6, ASF, wounds on 2+, d6 wounds.... sure i'm not purposefully trying to get her into combat, but that's the kind of crap people forget about.
Also incarnate... yeah... So she's lore master, so she can re-roll cast dice, even an irresistible. Then if she STILL miscasts, she has a rule that she can re-roll the result, making it much, much less likely she's going to 1) miscast at all, and 2) gives at least a chance to avoid that randomly rolled dreaded dimensional cascade.

Remember the ward save can be buffed to a 3+ by high magic. Maybe they wanted that in there.

Trust me, totally not forgetting. I wrote a bigger post going into how using high magic with her and a baby high mage or two can really turn the entire army into disgusting bunker potential in a hurry, but the forum ate it and meh... musta ate my determination too. Actually my favorite thing right now is a cauldron, with sword masters, and a high elf mage in it. You could do witches for the slightly better out of the gate ward, but the chances are too great that they go apeshit and kill the baby high mage, not worth it. Funny thing is, the opponent tends to let gak like apotheosis and hand of glory pass when he's staring down Alarielle rocking level 5, loremaster regrowth and / ore dwellers, etc, etc. Suddenly that entire cauldron unit is rocking a 3++ or 4++
You can really make either Alarielle obnoxious in no time.... i lean more towards HotEK myself, which is too bad, as i would rather play Avatar of Isha in my list rather than Incarnate of Life. Still. Passing out a 12" bubble of 6++ and regen is just stupid good.
