Subject: Placement of Kickstarter threads?

From what I've seen, Kickstarter threads that are moved from news & rumors are put in the forums that pertain to their specific genre. This includes Dakka Discussions (for general mini campaigns), Misc. Miniature games, Board games, specific manufacturer forums etc. I understand the logic behind this, but at the same time I think the people who follow Kickstarter campaigns in the process of fulfillment are likely to follow several of them, be interested in new ones, etc, and looking around so many different forums is a bit confusing. Has there been any discussion on perhaps creating a Kickstarter forum section for both ongoing campaigns and funded campaigns going through fulfilment? Is it a stupid idea? What do you guys think?

I'd love to see this.
The "misc mini" forum is clogged with old kickstarter threads. keeping Kickstarter threads in their own forum might encourage folks to start more specific topic-ed threads in the appropriate forum.

After fulfillment, all kickstarter threads die. I think the glut of threads is just that many keep running late, prolonging their lifespans.Hopefully a lot of these long-running threads will be fulfilled soon. I personally just browse N&R for new kickstarters, and keep them in my subscribed threads when I want to follow them so I doesn't matter to me where they end up.

This question comes up a LOT and the idea has been put forward each time it does. Lego and Yak have stated each time that they're happy with the way it's currently done.

A thread about a post-funding KS is really a thread about a product or product line. So it makes sense to put them where similar products and lines are discussed. That is also the most likely place to look for anyone trying to find information about past KS projects.

No, I think you're the first.
And that's an exalt for you...
I too thought this had been discussed to death and it was decided that the current system is adequate.

And some, I assume, are good people." |

If you don't want to look through many different forums to check on Kickstarters you are following, then the best option would be to utilize the "subscribe" function. That will keep all the threads you are following only one button away.
