Basically, he's a 500 point buffed bloodthirster with an instadeath sword, and he runs 2-12 bloodthirsters as his bodyguards (making him 1000 points minimum). And any sized army can run him Anything he charges will die no matter what, the turn just depends on how many bloodthirsters you brought.

This is only for apocolypse

Not to mention the fact he very outdated as he was written for last daemon codex. Such as there is no longer a daemonic gift called Iron Hide so he only has the 4+ armor save written in his profile

You're forgetting that the apocalypse units were rolled into the standard game. Outdated, yes, apoc only, no.

Playing:
Main:
-Chaos Daemons
-Sometimes CSM allies for Daemons
Alts:
-Dark Angels
-Inquisition, nobody expects the imperial
-Officio Assassinorum
-Legion of the Damned

Then what battlefield role (slot) is he? Because he is definitely not on the list of lords of war, nor is he part of any other force organisation choice.

The apocalypse formations aren't 40k choices unless specifically noted. Many have been brought across, but most haven't - mostly because either they don't have models or because their special rules interacted with the strategic assets which don't exist in normal 40k

Daemon Lord – Aetaos’rau’keres, Greater Daemon of Tzeentch IA: Apoc

Very very good. Not as good as last edition though. Almost impossible to kill now with the strength D changes. Grimoire or cursed earth on him makes him near impossible to fall to anyone in combat or shooting. Possibly the strongest unit in 40k because of his survivability.

Daemon Lord – An’ggrath, Greater Daemon of Khorne IA: Apoc

Also very good but not quite up to Tzeentch. He is also very hard to kill along with cursed earth or grimoire (and invisibility #gobelakor). Lots of attacks, FMC nerf makes him weaker. He can potentially get bogged down by fearless units i.e. Tervigons

Daemon Lord – Scabeiathrax, Greater Daemon of Nurgle IA: Apoc

Worst option by far. His stat line for his points is far worse than a regular ML3 GUO. Especially if you can get iron arm. He is costed for fluff and not his abilities. Also is slow as molasses in winter.

Daemon Lord – Zarakynel, Greater Daemon of Slaanesh IA: Apoc

Can get 10 wounds easily from her daemonic gifts, not as survivable as the others but can still pack a punch. Add grimoire/invis/cursed earth for fun.

Greater Brass Scorpion of Khorne

Stomps are awesome. As is his charge. The problem is his shooting is subpar at BS3 and he is unlikely to hit in CC. He is very good against hordes and hordes of smaller units (i.e. marines and below) but is not very good after that. (the Smash nerf makes him a bit more survivable now)

Well, hopefully they'll include him in the next apoc rules as a low. His bloothirster mechanic is highlarious.

No they haven't. All they've done is given a couple specific super heavies LoW designations so can be used in detachments with LoW slots. You still aren't allowed to use any apocolypse unit you want. Just like you also aren't allowed to use apoc formations or stratagems in regular 40k either.

Your white dwarf entry even says they are only for apocolypse
