Which is a better LoW, the Fellblade or the Typhon? What is the best way to equip each? The best Legacy?

"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion

The Fellblade would be my vote. The Typhon's main gun is limited to 24 - 48 inch shooting, while the Fellblade can shoot up to 100 inches. It's still str 8 or 9, while the Typhon's is Str 10.

The best legacy is obviously ignore cover (keylek) for these tanks and a fellblade over typhon because 100" range. Sit it in a corner, hide belakor behind it (invis) and destroy armies.

So is IWND worth it on superheavies?

It can be. It's hard to glance off 5 - 9 hull points in a single round, you have a lot of opportunities to get those HPs back.

The Fellblade is a better support tank for anchoring a gunline, the Typhon is better for charging forward and clearing space. It's immune to Melta (please tell me you bought that upgrade), it's much less expensive, and its main gun is better against 90% of targets.
As to Legacies It Will Not Die is going to be pretty valuable on the Fellblade since with its range you can control who gets to shoot at it more easily and it's got twice the Typhon's hull points; since the Typhon is more of a close-support vehicle and less of an artillery vehicle the buff bubbles are worth looking at, depending on what else is in your army.

I'm pretty sure that the keylek legacy is C:SM only.

Fellblade has greater range and HP, the Typhon gets Ignores Cover. Depending on your list, if you need a gap cleared in an enemy line or one specific thing killed, the Typhon will serve better (but die quicker), while if you primarily need supporting fire the Fellblade will be your pick to engage a greater number and variety of targets at any range.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts. |
