Ok I need 7 Chimeras to finish up some loose ends on my 40k projects.
To get 7 Chimeras here in NZ it would cost 448 NZD (344 USD roughly)
So im after some cool alternative Chimeras that are hopefully cheaper. I found these:
http://www.warchimera.com/en_US/p/Hammer-Armoured-Personnel-Carrier/24
But I hear the parts to that kit can suffer from warpage etc. But that comes to almost half the price (234 NZD)
So any suggestions on some cool kits out there I can buy in bulk for?

Those look pretty damn cool. If I remember, I think you can fix some minor warpage by warming it up a bit either in warm water or a hair dryer. If the cost is half of what they would normally cost, I say go for it. Other people also often suggest checking on E-Bay. I know I have gotten quite a bit of my IG/AM army from there at great prices.

Yea I do agree they look awesome. But im still open for other ideas.
The problem with Ebay is sellers like to charge heaps on shipping. So the money saved often goes into shipping.
Plus I need 7 in bulk. I just dont like being ripped off really.
At the moment I have 7 of those chimeras from the OP in my cart.
Shipping is very reasonable too.

7 GW Chimeras from Darksphere come in at NZ$245 before any shipping, if you've got any UK contacts to act as a delivery point and post it on?
I know that'll be a bit more expensive, but at least you can be sure, whatever else can be said about them, that the GW kits will be in good condition, and could be fixed locally if needed.

No way for them to be shipped direct?
Have no contacts over there that I know personally etc. How much would a package of 7 chimeras cost to get shipped this way?
Good point on the quality. Quality is the main reason im looking at the GW ones as an option really.

Fraid not, in one of their more inspired moments of douchebaggery, GW have banned all independents from selling outside of their global territory.
I'd estimate around $15-20 to ship to a UK address, but I'm not sure on the international element. Certainly Aus/NZ aren't as ludicrous to ship to as the States, and you could mitigate that by having the sprues taken out and re boxed, I'd offer myself, but I'm likely not going to be home predictably or regularly for a few weeks, and likely smack in the middle of when they'd arrive (away visiting friends etc over Xmas and then house sitting early in the New Year.)

Ramshackle Games makes the Rhebok Transport Vehicle which is very similar in dimensions to a GW Chimera kit. You can also choose wheels or tracks, bullbars or dozer blade, or different turret options. I've heard nothing but good things about their cast quality, too. All for the low, low price of £20 each. They also make a Not-Hellhound variant and a Not-Leman Russ.
Send them an e-mail and see if they can work out a deal for you to avoid customs fees.

Thats enough to avoid Customs fees here in NZ (Im fairly sure).
They look pretty cool too, and certainly fit the theme of my soldiers.
I might shoot them a quote and see how to maximize my order for best shipping costs.

Ramshackle are UK based, and as we own NZ ( ) import duty isn't a thing for smaller packages.
Just spotted this on Ramshackle..
International Customers
If you are ordering from outside the UK and your order exceeds £32 you may find that your postage costs are rather high. This is because the Royal Mail use the value of the parcel as a means of setting their fees (as well as its weight).
Should you wish to make a larger order, we recommend that you split your order into smaller units to save on postage if they prove rather high.
Alternatively, please contact us via our feedback form and we can investigate your special needs and invoice you directly instead.

Will do. Thanks Automatically Appended Next Post: Its actually a smart design to have such a modular vehicle. You can essentially create whatever configuration you want from that. I think this is the option I will go with to be honest.
Especially like the weapons options it has. Automatically Appended Next Post:
FREE SHIPPING
All orders are shipped free of charge world wide. Please note that it may take upto 3 weeks from placing an order to it being sent out. All orders are cast in order, on demand. If there is a backlog then delays can result.
Well, nows the time to order I guess

You're welcome! I've never ordered from them, but I really like some of their stuff. If you do end up pulling the trigger, post a review on what you receive. I think the Rheboks are very cool, and the ability to customize is a nice feature of the kit.

But I think the Ramshackle ones fit the look of my men pretty well. I cant help but feel the Bradley would look out of place alongside these.

Understandable. They are not the most amazing looking tanks in the world but when you can get 10 for the price of one or two GW tanks it was worth sharing.

Its not that much more than the price of one GW tank here so its pretty good price wise I think.
