Just says 1 Chaplain, so no mention of Astorath and he's not part of any formations at all

The flesh tearers get some crap relics. The shield that gives a 3+ save is that normal save or invulnerable save cos man if its not invul what is the point.
If it is invul I could see a use certainly

Formation- Archangels Sanguine wing-

2 VV veterans,
1 Sternguard
1 storm raven

-rules have been stated before and are correct

So requires 10 guys in each squad huh? That's a little pricy but I think with all the free gear it's probably still a really good choice. I'll have to edit my list and try and fit it in.

[4000 pts] Black Legion
[3300 pts] Thousand Sons
[2000 pts] World Eaters
[2000 pts] Dark Eldar

860 points minimum for the required squads and Raven.

Save 400 points in free gear.

Yeah, that sounds "worth it".

Some of these formations are wildly specific on taking certain things, and not very good. Things like "we want you to take 37.2 tacticals crammed in a stormraven with a dreadnought, with 5 veterans dressed like clowns, 1 Devastator who is just getting over a cold, and a very disgruntled chaplain on foot alone, and you can only use this formation on a Monday."

A couple of them are off the deep end of the power level chart, like the 3x raven insta-assault formation, or the veterans that got their weapons for Christmas.

The one with Dante is good but not ridiculous, but it basically writes your list for you.

The death company one is also neat and not ridic, although the raven is sort of a random requirement.

I'm glad the ft detachment cuts out one of the two troop tax squads. Although I would prefer red thirst over having a 16.667 % chance at rage on any charge.

Overall I might actually use the death company one and the one with the jump pack impact hits, as well as the ft detachment since I hate taxical marines.

I sincerely doubt it is a 3+ armor save.

I am hoping so but lets be honest the others aren`t great sounding. If it is an invul though like I said that is good, Shame you cant mix it assuming invul with the valor`s edge or can you, hmmm that would be nice but unlikely

I'm guessing a misprint since the only things that can take it are 3+ already, right?

That's why I smiled. You need to manually set the orientation and then upload it.

In the lore above its effect you can see they are talking about armor. So its a suit of power armor that protects the wearer from poison.

In a campaign book about BA VS tyranids (who can have a lot of poison) it makes perfect sense.

How much does the weird anti-poison armor cost? Any more than like a combi-weapon would be crazy.

As in you'd have to be crazy to pay for it, I mean.

This is true but as its unlikely Flesh Tearers will get a supplement of their own and will have to use this (i know they dont have to but ya know) then as a general thing for any amount of points that is awful. They already have power armour why not just give immunity poison with anything other than shield of cretacia. After having read that book this shield you`d think would be an actual shield based off one of those massive beasties but plain jane armour for protection against poison....... Just i have no idea. The relics for the FT are mind boggingly bad.

Quick question can I use the Flesh Tearers warlord traits but still take blood angel relics or do I have to go all in and take WL traits and relics from one or the other. Obviously i`m not mixing relics just using the dex ones while changing my WL traits

They are still Blood Angels, also the necron one says at its warlord traits that you can choose to roll from the new table instead of the rulebook ones or codex specific ones. So I would say you can take Flesh Tearers with any Relics (BA or FT) and any WL Trait (BA or FT).

the information above both BA and FT tables match the necron one, so i agree with this statement. It says you can choose to roll on these tables and make use the relics

Although honestly at this point I like the baal strike force detachment the best, even with 2 troops mandatory, i think the plus 1 to inititiative is the best rule given, the archangel detachment i think is a bit too constricting unless those are the units you want to go with

Wait. What? There's a relic specifically to counter Shadow of the Warp? Well, that right there is a giant crock of something. SitW already got slapped hard with 7th edition (since Psychic Tests aren't even Ld based any longer) but now they're telling us that the Blood Angels have a 'relic' - yes, an ancient priceless heirloom from the Heresy designed specifically to counter a unique trait of a species that wasn't encountered for millenia after the Heresy?
