If I am inside a void shield area from my opponent's void shield generator (not shooting from the outside in), all shooting and assaults are business as usual, correct?

Correct.

Also VSG has no affect on assault.

Perfect, thanks.

And VSG have no effect on units inside shooting out?

Also, let's say I deep strike an assault unit in the VSG and the player, who put the VSG in their list, has to move away and shoot from the outside in. My deepstrike assault unit benefit from the VSG?

There can be some debate however, for a Unit of yours (Inside) charging him (Outside), and how his overwatch would work.

Because if he overwatches, it is a standard shooting attack, from outside to inside.

Gentlemen,
rather then recreate a new thread I have a question for void shields.

If a unit is half inside a void shields range and half outside of the range. Do they still get protected by the void shield? Technically the target is within and without. Just wondering as this is one of the vague issues i keep running in to.

Regular Void Shields added to say, a Bastion, only protect models embarked within, models on the Battlements and the building itself. They would offer zero protection to a Unit standing near the building.

I assume you're asking about a Void Shield Generator's "Projected Void Shields" special rule. That rule says "Any shooting attack that originates from outside a Void Shield Zone and hits a target within the Void Shield Zone instead hits the projected void shield." It goes one to say that "if a unit is within 12" of more than one Void Shield Generator, and so within more than one Void Shield Zone...". From this we can infer that being within the zone simply requires that the unit is within 12". A huge unit with at least one model within 12" can be said to be within 12". In other words, if a unit is half within the zone, the entire unit gets the protection. One void shield generator could potentially protect hundreds of models if they were laid out like petals on a flower around the VSG.
