Bought an Eldar vehicle today, and it's horribly mangled. Among many other dings and damages, it has fingerprints melted into the hul, where a plastic glue incident had to have occurred. How do I get these out? I'd just sand, file, or slice them away on a straight edged vehicle, but these are in a concave curve, so a hobby knife won't fit in. Any suggestions?

I would think some light sanding with some fine grade sand paper would do the trick.
Can you throw up some photos? I'm curious as to what it looks like.

Sand it down, resurface with milliput or squadron green putty.

I've never found milliput in the States. Is there another name for it?

Jim, apply a thin coat of liquid green stuff and then fine sandpaper down to blend edges with contour. Its what I do
Would say use 9309 Adhesive but that's on rotor blade repairs

It's basically just epoxy putty so there's bound to be an equivalent available in the US. It was originally marketed for use in car body repair so maybe a hardware or autoparts store might be worth a try.

I've seen some nice sculpting done with Rezolin A+B, which seems to be an American equivalent, or at least alternative. Then there's stuff made for modelling rather than plumbing, like magic sculp and apoxy sculpt.

Try gently scraping rather than slicing, tho.

It's available in the US, I bought some from Hobby Lobby when I was over there.

Brush-on styrene cement might be able to smooth it out with minimal work, but without seeing the damage, it's hard to say.

Car body filler will work well too. Any sand able putty.
Milliput is nice because it's water reactive, you can get most of the initial smoothing done with a wet finger.

Hobby Lobby sells standard (yellow/gray) and Superfine (white) Milliput and you can also find it online (like at Amazon).
Like Winterdyne said, body filler (I use Bondo 907, it was $8 at AutoZone) works pretty well, especially if you wet sand it, which I recommend.

Squadron white putty (don't know about green) actually ever so slightly melts plastic, so you could apply a very thin layer and then sand (rather than sanding then applying it) and it'll probably fix it.

Seriously tho. I'm fond of milliput, but in the interests of consumer awareness or whatever: close to twice as much for a dollar-fitty less.
