There is nothing in the rules about transparent objectcs and LoS.

By raw if you can see it you can shoot it so yeah you can draw LoS through it

It's not completely transparent, though. So you would need to judge if it is opaque enough to be considered to obscure 25% of the target...

But no, the base of a flyer is 'effectively ignored' except for the specific situations listed in the flyer rules. Drawing LOS past the flyer is not one of those two situations. So you ignore it.

Flyers' stand are transparent for a reason) You even can move right "through" it, so it defenetly can not block LoS.

One can move through solid walls as well, so that is meaningless....
It is ignored because the Rules state it is ignored, nothing more or less.

So heres one then. What if the person who made the flier model really decorated the base and stand with say a piece of ruins, or smoke, or trees, etc etc..Would that stuff block the LOS or would you play it as not there?

Fliers are called fliers because they're in the air. until we come up with a means to make the models stay there without bases, we need the bases. the flier isn't actually sliding around on a big stick, it's flying.

use your imagination lads, it's not hard. can you shoot under a plane?

for decorated stands, same principal but make sure you say to your opponent that you'll be ignoring it so he doesn't think his magical teleporting ruin with plane above will save him from your lascannons.

None of the scenery on any model's base blocks LOS.

It shouldnt. I remember a line in the BRB saying you cant take your cover with you, so intricately modeled bases are ignored for all LoS purposes. Since the flyer stand is part of the flyer base (the flyer itself is basically the outer hull of your model), and reslistically speaking it shouldnt even be there, I'd argue the flyer stand is ignored.
