I am putting together an Iron Hands army and wondering what would be better for the list? Both have pros and cons, wondering what the community thought. List is 1850 points.

Legion Iron Hands or 40k Iron Hands?

Thought for the day: Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
30k Ultramarines: 2000 pts
Bolt Action Germans: ~1200 pts
AOS Stormcast: Just starting.
The Empire : ~60-70 models.

What on earth are the cons of the Sicaran???
If both have lascannon side sponsoons the sicaran comes in at 35pts more expensive. Lets look at what it gets for those 35pts:
-Fast
-Better side armour
-A main armament which is almost twice as good against heavy armour and even more so against av12 or lower.
-The ability to ignore jink with 3/4 of its shots.

Also:
-It can buy ceremite for 20pts
-Its guns benefit more from schism of mars (tank hunter)

Apart from the 35pts and tge forgeworld price tag, what are these cons you speak of?

Having fielded the Scarian a few times now, I gotta say it's a great tank.

However, everyone else thinks its a great target too and it is most often targeted kind of like a LOW.

All the suicide meltas/haywire/anti-tank bikes/drop pods/ flyers have that thing as a prime target.

Which is both good and bad. Good in that often you can predict what people's moves are going to be, but bad in that the tank often doesn't survive more than 2 rounds lol.

For some reason the predators are often ignored if I park it in a corner since people are used to it and often not worth their attention lol.

Protecting the Scarian is not that difficult but it does require a specific type of list I've noticed. Gotta overwhelm the enemy's threat counter as much as possible as fast as possible. A gunline can work but you usually end up loosing the tank anyway. As long as you can clean up aftewards of all the stuff that dropped in, it's alright and still a sound strat. In those cases, I might just drop the lascannons off it and keep the plating still as it has to be good bait or no one will bite.

There is some overlap between roles, but they are meant to fulfill different primary purposes.

Sicarian + mars = anti-air and vehicles
Executioner + Keylak (ignore cover with blast weapons) = anti-medium/heavy infantry.

Overall, I'd say the Sicarian rocks in 40k, and a slight nod to the executioner in 30k, mainly because there's fewer flyers and more termies and power armor, and the armies are generally slower. In 40k, you have grav-weapons to do the heavy lifting against medium/heavy infantry and MCs, and there's a greater need for speed, and the ignore jink will be used to greater effect. That said, I'd probably just take a Typhon in 30k, and just wreck stuff with a 7" ignore cover blast at S10 AP1.

Hang on, I apologise. I have got mixed up between the executioner and the annihilator. My bad - thought we were talking about lascannons not plasma cannons!

Take the Sicaran wherever possible. Yes, it will get targeted heavily, but it can do more in a couple rounds than most other things on the board. At it's price, there's not a good reason not to take 2.

Well, maybe except for it's $$ price. Otherwise yeah. It's a solid tank.

One more question, graviton canons or centurions?
