Ok... So this kinda bugs me, but is there a fine line between how you should roll the dice?

I have a guy in my group who rolls the dice by just setting his hand on the table and let's the dice just slide off(hardly even shakes them up).

I don't say anything , but recently I seems like it gets worst and worst. Is it me or is that just plain wrong ?

I would politely remind him that randomization is best utilized when the dice roll a bit on the table. if they are the larger type i could see this appealing as shady, however if they are the smaller type 6mm those roll quite well. Just be polite about it, I had somebody try to HIT a landed dice to change scores... now that's funny business.

I had a guy do that when playing another tabletop game. As already stated, just be polite and ask him to roll the dice to ensure a proper randomization. Depending on his reaction, you can tell if he is doing it on purpose to be shady or just doesn't see the issue.

Yup! If the person you are playing gets offended that you asked them to change, they are most likely doing the rolls on purpose. If they switch, then they don't care.

Yeah, I am usually on the lookout for this kind of behavior:

http://rpgtalk.wikia.com/wiki/How_to_cheat_at_dice

"Careful rolling: With a few hours practice, most people can practice "rolling" a die with a simple double or triple flip that reliably lands on the desired number more than half the time. Although rarely practiced, deliberately rolling specific numbers is not terribly difficult, and can be picked up accidentally just from handling dice a lot. The only countermeasures are when someone insists you drop the dice straight down, roll into a cup, roll against a wall or screen like a craps player, or otherwise disturb the die's original trajectory."

Yeah make a hubub and tell him off. that kinda behavior shouldn't be tolerated when playing with plastic men.

If he makes it sound like its too much of a bother or he doesn't want to lose the dice, perhaps a Dice Tower could help.

Using a dice cup, similar to those used in Backgammon can ensure a random roll. Those cups have a ridge on the inside of the cup, ensuring that the dice tumble as they leave the cup.

If you want to make an issue out of it, you could provide the cups.
