Hey everyone!
Im looking to make death korps of krieg missile luancher teams for my Death Korps of Krieg to help out with anti air! I know they dont have any in their codex but i want to have some for Apoc games, and games that use the normal astra militarum codex. Im trying to stick to the WW2/ WW1 theme, so any ideas??
My other option is running missile launchers with my PDF support army which would be easy because it would just be converted cadians and catachans or something.
What do you think ?? should i try to do DKOK missile team? if so any ideas??

Just use the artillery weapon crews and the missile launchers from the AM kit?

You could probably use the Cadian one without the shield.

it looks pretty much like an ww2 rpg which is the closest thing you will get to a missile laucher i think.

Just if you want to stick dkok. Just convert these.
Should be relatively easy.

This is not a tutorial but a request for help with modelling, so it needs to be put into Painting & Modelling, which I shall do now.

scratch build panzerfausts? Or mod up a more panzerschreck looking missle launcher from the heavy weapons team?

Depends how good a modeller you are.

I personally don't think that a shoulder fire rocket weapon would really fit in well with the French WWI theme that the DKOK seem to have.

You could go a little steampunk-ish and try to model a spring loaded weapon like a British PIAT or the Fat Boy from the Fallout game series.

Or maybe a rocket that would fire off a rail system on a tripod like the very early 1800s military rockets. Maybe even a mini V1 type set up

panzer shrek is what i was thinking but like Son_Of_Serica said its kinda to WW2 ish so i shied away...

i found pictures of the panzer fuast idea
http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?66603-11th-Krieg-Regiment-A-pictorial-history/page2

there is also the russian PIAT RIFLE
http://www.ioffer.com/img/item/189/378/846/wZIm.jpg

it would look like a not very efective anti tank and anti air rifle... which is good... wouldnt explain frag shots though so i wouldnt let myself shoot that

i had never considered the British PIAT ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PIAT

I think it gives it the leaning towards the future and modern technology feel but not quite there yet which is kinda what im looking for... it has a handheld artillery piece feel. kinda hard to carry, limited mobility, clumsy ... hmmm im going to have to either find scale models or build a similar weapon...

Russian WW2 PIAT rifle

WW1 german anti tank rifle ( i wouldnt fire frag )

rifle gernades

Panzer fuast

maybe something along the lines of a towe missile? ( large, not easy to move, clumbersome but still advanced )

or maybe something like this... but it would be weird firing at aircraft with this.

let me know your thoughts

I like the idea of an antique TOW missile, but on a little wheeled chassis like the above WW2 anti-tank gun example or various WW2 (and WW1?) wheeled heavy machine guns (the Russians had a couple of models, AFAIK so did some other nations).

Large, clumsy, cumbersome, but when it hits, very powerful.

i was going to go with the towed machine guns for my quad guns! so thats good. for missile luanchers im hoping to find something along the lines of a blast weapon, less rifle and machinegun . im leaning towards the PIAT and the towe missile,

Definitely go with panzerfausts or rifle grenades. In fact I think the bolt action plastics arms might work well for this.

Kromlech's heavy machine gun:

is the kind of thing I was thinking of.

Note that is actually a PTRD-41 anti-tank rifle. The Projector, Infantry, Anti Tank (PIAT) was closer in concept to the spigot mortar than a rifle.
