Voted. Confused at any options other than last.

In what case could you have a 'fex too many?

Broods are maxed out at 3 Carnifexes, so I just added 1 more Carnifex than either 0, 1, 2, or 3 Broods, and added a "never enough" option.

Technically 10 is not one too many, as I believe there is a carnifex HQ... isnt there? Or is Old One Eye a heavy slot? It's been a while since I played my tyranids (hence selling them). I remember when carnifexes could be both elites and heavy support.

Well, the obvious answer is that there can never be enough ^^. Such a great model.

But the real question is... what is your favorite configuration?

It makes my day that when asked "How many Carnifexes are too many?", the prevailing answer has been "I am afraid I don't understand the question."

They're like boyz, can never have too many and if there's any problem the answer is always to bring more.

I always have this mental imagine of a Carnifex acting like a puppy. Like, a Flyrant throws a giant bone and the Carnifex chases after it; destroying all in its path. Later he is just chewing on the corpse of a space marine like a chew toy making puppy noises.

So my answer is you can never have enough. A big group would be running around the battlefield like dogs playing. Harmlessly biting at each other and rolling around the ground, crushing tanks and guardsmen as they do.

Though I still prefer the old-school screamer killers to the new ones. At least, the new ones with guns. They look all... hunchbacked.

A bound 10 Carnifex army. It's not a great one because it's 100% CC, but it would be awesome to deploy.

It wouldnt need to be all cc would it? Carnifexes have loads of big weapon options. Or at least they did last time i looked...

To fit 10 Carnifexes in 1500 points and have a chance at actually doing anything, yes it has to be all CC.

If you go up in points like TimeShadow did, then you can have more options.

Yah you would need to drop a Carnifex to pay for the TL Dev's on 4 other Carnies so you could have 2 broods of 3 with 2 Melee and one Dakka, and one brood of 2 Dakka but then you only have 9 Carnifex and that's just not right..... :-)
