With the rumors circulating of a new chaos codex it seems that not much overall will change but they are perhaps making some changes to cult troops or even cult terminators. I'm not saying I have any proof of Chaos marks for vehicles, but I am just wish-listing things that I hope they will add/change in this new codex. I remember playing DoW 2 for the PC and I really enjoyed how you could give predators different marks. Of course, the game wasn't much like the actual table top game. So if I had to make the marks for vehicles, it would look like this.
Mark of Khorne: +1 S when ramming, -2 to Ld for Tank Shock tests
Many of the pilots and drivers of khornate vehicles are just as hot-headed and violent as the rest of the berserkers. Their wanton aggression leads them to charge into other vehicles at reckless speed. When no vehicles are in sight then the driver will simply try and run over the nearest enemy soldiers.
Mark of Tzeentch: The vehicle has the Preferred Enemy and Soul Blaze special rules.
The vehicles claimed by Tzeentch seem to bear a strange aura and their shots are seen eerily tracking their targets, blasting their foes away with magical volleys of raw power. These weapons do not just simply destroy the body, but they shred the psyche as well, leaving nothing but burnt husks in their wake.
Mark of Nurgle: The vehicle has the Stealth special rule and units charging it must make a Disordered Charge
A vehicle marked by Nurgle is corroded and foul. Often bearing diseased growths, these vehicles create a miasma of poison in their wake making it hard for gunners to target them through the sickly green fog. Inevitably, great clouds of flies are attracted to the rotted vehicles and should any enemy try to assault them they will fly all around the vehicle's attackers, jamming their respirators and blurring their visors.
Mark of Slaanesh: The vehicle can move Flat Out in the shooting phase and still fire its weapons, if it has no ranged weapons then it ignores dangerous terrain
Those belonging to the cults of Slaanesh devote themselves to achieving perfection in warfare to an obsessive degree. Pilots train constantly and take combat stims so as the be able to move at lightning speed while still bringing their full arsenal to use. Those who prefer the thrill of close combat instead focus on agility and closing with the enemy as soon as possible.
What do you guys think? I tried to make sure none of these rules overlapped with other special rules that certain vehicles have. For example, I wanted to used the It Will Not Die rule for MoN but I realized defilers and daemon engines already have that. Anyway, I hope they have something like this in the next codex. What is something you are hoping for in the next codex?

I like them a lot here are a few Ideas I was thinking about after I read this.
Khorn- If a vehicle has an assault ramp all models gain furious charge and rage the turn the left the vehicle. If the vehicle does not have an assault door the exiting squad can still assault as normal.
Tzeentch- All Bolter weapons (heavy, comb, or regular) fire inferno bolts.
Nurgle- Shrouded with a 6" shrouded bubble around it. I like the disordered charge, a lot actually, but I get sick of hearing how OP Death Squad is. (I play Death Squad)
Slaneesh- Maybe instead of flat out it can move 6 and still fire all normal, move 12 and you get 1 at Normal BS and snap shot the others.

I could see that as well.
What about a I buff to stay themed? everybody within 6" gets a +1 I for the first round of combat.

I think it would be better if they seperated the vehicle marks 1 set for tanks/transports and 1 for walkers/flyers. Then you can make khorne give more attacks/better vector strike for walkers and flyers or give a better tank shock for tanks for example. Or have individual mark bonusses for each vehicle

I like the concept of optional Mark-restricted wargear upgrades, though. Assault Vehicle for Khorne, Inferno Bolts for Tzeentch, sonic weapons (the one from the 4e book that made Tank Shocking better that I can't recall the name of) for Slaanesh, a cloud of bugs that gives the vehicle Cover for Nurgle. Gives you more options and lets you take an inexpensive vehicle dedicated to a Chaos God if (for some reason) you don't want to buy the assault ramp or whatever.

Maybe it's just me, but I think assault ramps on rhino's might be a bit crazy. While I do think chaos needs something to help their assault game, I also don't want to go back to the 5th ed rhino parking lot lists.
Maybe make an option to make a rhino open-topped? That way assault units could use it to get to assaults, and shooty units like noise marines have a mobile firebase as well

I dont think a vehicle dedicated to chaos will be inexpensive, thats why it should bring some nice benefits with it built in (like for example assault vehicle), the FW vehicle dedications are all 15-25 points and the ones from the old chaos codex were somewhere along those lines too. If you have to buy mark of khorne 15-20 points? and then the assault ramp for 10 youre almost paying for another rhino just to make it a fast assault vehicle. Also if you make the marks like 5 points I dont think you can expect any good buffs from them, either that or they will just be auto takes, which is not fun I think. EDIT: Open topped rhinos would die even faster than rhinos already do, I dont think people would pay points for that. EDIT 2: Also stuff I am hoping for in the next codex is Heavy Bolters for Thousand Sons and 6 psychic powers for the god tables, or atleast 6 powers for the tzeentch one.

MoT seems a bit naff to be honest. Preferred Enemy is nice, but Soul Blaze is usually accepted to be one of the worse special rules you can have. Against your typical enemies, most vehicles are either killing the target outright (Defilers, Vindicators) or have weapons to target units that won't be affected that much by SB (Land Raiders, Predators, etc). I would change it so that any Bolt weapons on the vehicle fire Inferno Bolts instead.

I agree with the soul blaze thing, mainly because some vehicles can already take warpflame gargoyles which makes it quite underwhelming. I would definately give them inferno bolts and do something with invuln saves. And going with AnomanderRake's suggestion of mark locked upgrades, why not a psychic pilot upgrade for any tzeentch transports?

Post-hull-points nothing I suggest could ever bring us back to 5e Rhino parking lots. Unless I suggest changes to the vehicle damage structure and taking away everyone's multi-shot S7 weapons, but I'm not going to, so...

Well the HelDrake already has Metioric desent so that is basically already there and it is the only vehicle that can do it. I dont know of any others in the game that can off the top of my head. I hear enough talk that it is already OP when I rip a Blood Angel bird out of the sky  .

I like the shrouded idea from the first post. The invuln save would be more tzeentchian I think. Also you could strip daemon engines from their "it will not die" and give it to MoN vehicles only. (the IA13 nurgle vehicles have it will not die)

The normal Mark of Nurgle is already better than the rest of the Marks, we don't want to make the vehicle one hilariously powerful too. Stealth from the cloud of bugs should be plenty.

Soul Grinders do not have Marks, and the four Vessel rules are all "This Vehicle has Fear" with an extra benefit to folks with the right Icon. We're trying to make smaller and more individually useful Marks than those.

But what's exactly bad in fear + a bit twisted standard daemon mark benefits?
MoN: Shrowded
MoS: Rending, Fleet, +3 for Run distance/Flatout
MoT: Rerolling 1-s on to-hits/saves
MoK: Costs Minimum just for Fear, gives nothing else as noone would take it other than for fluff anywayz.
