There´s quite a few different options and builds, what have you found to be the most powerful? Can be a supplement/forgeworld/whatever option.

There´s the cheap Sorcerer with a Force Axe, the Daemonheart Nurgle Biker Lord with PF+LC, Khorne Juggernaut Lord with AOBF and Chaos Spawns tanking as wounds, to name a few. Mention the way the HQ is used and if he is employing some kind of retinue. I´ve been using a Sorcerer with brand myself, to try and get an invisible Bike squad with Meltas to roll around the board, but what have you found best?

Let´s leave Be'lakor out anyways, we all know he eats stars for breakfast and washes them down with the tears of players.

Juggerlord with AoBF.

Lately I've been running 3:

1 MoK Lord w/ AoBF, Sigil on a Juggernaut (rolling with a unit of 5 Spawn)

1 MoN Lord w/ PF / LC, Sigil, Horns, Daemonheart, Blight Grenades on a Bike (rolling with 5 Nurgle Spawn)

1 Sorcerer w/ force staff (ML3), spell familiar, sigil, on a bike (rolling with 5 Nurgle spawn). He either rolls on Biomancy or Telepathy depending on what he's up against.

3 mini-Deathstars each moving 12" per turn ignoring terrain has been pretty effective. I take the Nurgle lord as a Crimson Slaughter ally so I still be "bound."

Huron to make 20-strong marine blobs work.
Sometimes Fabius Bile to make the guyz s5 base. But to be honest, Cypher works better most of the time as H&R, Shrowded, atsknf and 2 almost auto-hitting plazma shots are generally better than s5 and 3 poisoned (albeit 2+) shots.

Surely 4 troops choices is a bit of a sore tax in this list?

he could be running 3 if one of those is black legion or something as allies.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Not true. Can't take a supplement as an allied detachment. The rulebook clearly states that allied detachments have to be a different faction. Black legion, crimson slaughter and codex CSM are all the same faction. So it would HAVE to be two CAD's or its unbound after all.

So yes that's what the BRB states but as has been stated so many times, a LOT of major tournaments allow for self ally. So let's just all deal with it

Are you sure about that? I have seen so many Crimson slaughter + CSM allies and Black legion + CSM Allies and and combination of the 3.

I like the Chaos Lord on Steed of Slaanesh for Deployment shenanigans.

I currently fell in love with a Black Legion Biker Lord with the Eye of Night.

ML3 Sorceror with spell familiar, mark of tzeentch, plasma pistol, force staff, and sigil of corruption. I use this as the plasma pistol/staff sorceror was the first model I ever bought. It's a lot of points but you can stick him in a bubble of cultists and spam psychic abilities. And you will not worry about him in duels.
