Buddy has started grey knights so I'm not very familiar with their rules. He pointed something out that seems somewhat confusing. The points cost for weapon upgrades such as strike squads upgrading to force halberds ? I can't find the points cost for upgrades to different melee weapons anywhere in the codex. Some upgrades are layed out but others are very unclear.

There's no weapons profile list in the book that outlines how much each weapon costs.

This probably isn't something that goes in Proposed Rules, I'd suggest General Discussion. This is the section for making up rules, not asking questions about existing ones.

There are costs for each and every weapon. Can't give you a specific page number, but there's a page entirely dedicated to points costs of every weapon, both ranged and melee. Iirc it's behind the full description of the GK specific wargear.

I need to know what it costs for strike squad to upgrade to halberds.... There is no points cost listed for it. It's kind of strange

All upgrades and their costs are listed on page 59, right at the beginning of the army section.
