Calgar's God of War rule has always sounded really cool.

Prophet of the voices is really cool too.

A funny/fluffy rule is the "In it for the money" rule. Renegade mercenaries will literally run away when scared off through failed morale checks.

Usually anything specific to the Ork codex is funny too.

My favorite by far is "IT WILL NOT DIE!"

I love screaming it every time a successful roll is made for this special rule. I primarily play guard so I just imagine a frantic guardsman screaming it into his vox.

"While a single mass reactive bolter shell from a Space Marine can stop a single foe in their tracks, the hail of a million lasguns can halt the advance of an entire army"

Definitely "none shall stay my wrath" from the death company dreads. The idea that it doesnt have any special armor to get past any damage results, the thing is just too angry to actually care.

a knight with the aucteller rank has a rule called "From Death I Strike"
i like the sentiment behind it. very much a samurai inspired rule.

Combat squads, just combat squads. You cannot top the awesome that is this rule. Its like they are squads, meant for combat. And you get to split them up, its like having split fire and allowing half your squad to get assaulted while the other half doesn't. Greatest special rule name ever.

Seriously though, I liked yelling TACTICAL GENIUS every time I outflanked a unit with the 5th edition guard codex.

"Jones is acting strangely" was great. Also liked when "Look out Sir" was "Look out Sir.... AARGH!"

Look Out, sir! is the generic special rule. Look out-aargh! is the suped up version to make up for the fact that Guard company commanders aren't ICs.

I do think that "We'll be Back..." was one of the best rule names though.

I personally liked the old "Skulls for the Skull Throne" rule for Skulltaker in the late Daemons Codex.

"Against non-vehicle models, Skulltaker's Close Combat attacks are rending on rolls of 4+ instead of 6, and any of his rending wounds also inflict instant death. (Chop!)"

The "Chop" part makes me wish for better days.

And they shall know no fear. I don't know, I just like it. Maybe because I'm a Marine fanboy at heart.
