http://www.warlordgames.com/price-rises-announcement/
At the start of February we’ll be implementing a price rise on the items outlined below due to increased costs.
Rather than implement the new pricing immediately we’re giving two weeks notice, which should be ample time for you to take advantage of the current prices!
There will be price increases on the following products:
1. Starter Army Boxes by £5 or £10 each (including Pike & Shotte Battalia and Roman Starter Army)
2. Some Bolt Action plastic sets and sprues to increase by £1 or £2.
3. Individual figures up to £2.50 each (single figures are a pain to deal with but we really want to still offer the service to you).
4. All resin vehicles to increase by £1.
This will come into effect on the 1st February 2015.

Of course as soon as I order the starter set they jack up prices...

Well, at least they gave us a reason for the price hikes.

We're not talking a lot of money here. Thing is, I just posted so people knew they have two more weeks before paying a bob or two more on a kit, not to complain or otherwise incite bad feeling.

To the contrary! We have been having a rip roaring good time playing Tank War of late.

I saw this, but this is really good heads up, especially if, like me, you are thinking about grabbing some individual models.

I've been loving the regular BA, but I haven't really heard anything about Tank War. I'll probably pick up a box at some point, when I see the starter for cheap.

The starter is a beautiful deal. The plastic Panthers are great and I just ordered three M4s. I would have probably bought the starter if I didn't already have the book.

Here's my Soviet platoon so far, primed and based last evening.

I know, I'm just saying that I appreciate that we're at least given a reason for the prices. And that they suggest taking advantage of their lower prices while they last. It's why I think Warlord Games is an awesome gaming company.

I'm enjoying playing with Tanks too! I'm going to a con son with a Kraut tank army.

I have seen the Panther, Panzer IV, T-34/85, and Cromwell plastic kits and love them all. I cannot wait to get into the plastic Shermans on their way to me and my buddy is going to get some of their plastic Tigers (even though he already has a plastic Rubicon Tiger). And of course I will have to add some plastic T-34/76s to my Soviet motorpool. I am a big fan of WL at the moment for sure.

Next up for me is Desert Rats!

Yeah I'm not angry over price raises, just my luck they happen right after I order the set. Of course better than before I ordered it! As long as they don't go GW with the pricing I'll be cool.

I don't know if the price will go up but I would definitely recommend also ordering the Armoured Fury set.

I've got to get my group, who are all RPG gamers save for a few who are squad leader fans, to buy into it. They love playing D&D with all my painted models but getting them to buy into this may be a challenge. I'm going to play some games with my brother and a few others and see if they get hooked. Unfortunately I'm the only one into modeling and painting and all that.

I might pick up some plastic Panzer IVs and Cromwells before the price rise hits.
