Hi,
I was looking in the codex last night, and I found Sargent Telion's rule: Voice of experience. Says that someone else can use his ballistic skill or something, not exactly sure.
In real life, would Telion be telling his warriors\scouts what to do?
Thanks.

INSANE army lists still available!!!! Now being written in 8th edition format! I have Index Imperium 1, Index Imperium 2, Index Xenos 2, Codex Orks Codex Tyranids, Codex Blood Angels and Codex Space Marines!
PM me for an INSANE (100K+ points) if you desire.

That’s kind of his job. He is a scout sergeant, who has been teaching new marines for a crazy length of time. When he tells the guy with the ML to take a deep breath and aim a bit to the left, that missile is going to hit. It doesn’t mater if he is instructing on the training field or the battleground.

Neither here nor there, but I love Telion. I'm working on a dedicated Scout force right now with Telion as the Warlord. Not a scrap of Power Armour in the army. Gotta love Unbound. Telion as Warlord is now a thing.

In a very general sense...

HQ analog = Telion as Warlord (in a unit of Scouts of course)
Troops analog = Bolter Scouts w/Heavy Bolter
Elites analog = Wolf Scouts (they get extra plasma)
Fast Attack analog = CCW/Bolt Pistol Scouts in LS Storm
Fast Attack analog = Biker Scouts
Heavy Support Analog = Sniper Scouts w/Missile Launcher

Add in a couple of appropriately modeled light support vehicles (Land Speeders and IG Scout Walkers) piloted by Scouts and you're good to go.

I'm quite sure it would not be a stretch to get that list bound? Sure it would mean 1 piece of Power or (i'd suggest) Terminator armour, but is that 1 model worth the price or Bound (and Telion can still be warlord). This "other entity" could be sat at a table on the very back field, calling Orbital strikes and the like

I'm curious. What is the rules question?

Why would I need power or termie armour? It can easily be done 100% unbound with all Scouts.

Not "need", but getting the benefits of Bound depending how high they are on the priorities list. (Very low by the sound of it )

Yeah, this would be more of a non-competitive fluffy list. Having ObSec and a re-roll to Warlord Traits isn't really that important.

I think the only Ultramarines eligible HQ NOT in power or termie armour is Chaplain Titus from the Badab War books. He's a Dreadnought. His main issue for me is that his rules require that if he's the only HQ that he be made Warlord... and his Warlord Trait makes him scoring, which has no effect as everything is scoring.

I don't know why, but i keep thinking that list would be perfect as Bound, with a SM vanilla commander sitting in a Damocles in the further-most corner of the board.

Modelled inside the Rhino sitting at the desk with a pen, and throwing the occasional Orbital Bombardment where Telion wants it...

(Doing paperwork and sipping Tea)

Hobbit Support analog = Ratlings
