I'm sure this is a simple answer. But can you take FNP against wounds from Nova-charging?

yes.

Even though it says "no saves of any kind"?

Feel No Pain isn't a save. It's a last chance to negate, yes, but not technically a save; that's probably one reason why it costs more for tides

For an example of when FNP isn't allowed, look at the rules for the R'Varna from forgeworld. It explicitly denies FNP saves from failed nova charges.

No it doesn't, it reads exactly like a Riptide's Nova Reactor, "(no saves of any kind may be taken)". I think you got ahold of a fan made version.

I think you need to actually read the document instead of quoting what you think is correct.

Sorry, but Forge World sometimes forgets to remove their old rules so things stop pointing to it.

Strange that the Y'vahra can still take FNP for Nova. Might be a balance argument inside Forge World.

THanks for sharing with us the new version of those rules, Nilok. Did FW tellus anytime when they updated those rules?

AI & BFG: / BMG: Mr. Freeze, Deathstroke / Battletech: SR, OWA / Fallout Factions: BoS / HGB: Caprice / Malifaux: Arcanists, Guild, Outcasts / MCP: Mutants / SAGA: Ordensstaat / SW Legion: CIS / WWX: Union

Mulletdude actually posted the most current rules, the problem I was showing is that Forge World never updated the link or removed it so my bookmarks are out of date, thus the reason I quoted the wrong rules.

Last time I talked to Forge World, they said they were in the process of updating the rules to 7e and would be out soon(tm).

With the new rules of the Y'vahra excluding it from taking Farsight Enclaves special systems, does that mean both the XV107 R'varna and XV109 Y'vahra can be taken with the Farsight Enclaves now?

Forge World wrote:"Hi [Nilok]. There will be an official 7th edition update coming soon. In the short term it's best to agree with your opponents what you can take in your army. Of course with unbound there's nothing stopping you having any of your favourite models in your collection really. Hopefully we will have an official answer for you soon."

However, that was back in October 2014, so I have no idea when they are updating the rules to download, or even releasing an Imperial Armour 3 Third Edition.

Wow, that is a bit of a tone-down for the Rvarna :p

Guess it needed it...

It really needed the tone down in 6th ed when the buffcommander could guarantee it twin linked and ignore cover with tank/monster hunter. That combined with ap3 means any 3+ save MC was just dead. Now that the buffcommander cannot join it, it may not need such a harsh nerf as there will be no way to give it monster/tank hunter and the only cover ignoring it will do is from marker lights (and only on the original target with the new rules for marker lights).
