Ok, so here is my idea. I have tau, chaos, am, high elves and dark Angels armies and a few ig as well. My idea is to take and create a tau army using various parts of all of these. The fluff being, this tau army has taken over various soldiers from the different places they have conquered and some of there technology as well. My first ideas are:

Cadian shock troops as pathfinders (change all guns to marker light weapons, possibly change heads.

Stealth suits - power armor space marines, burst cannons or fusion blisters and Fire warrior shoulder pads and back packs

Kroot - dv cultist

Thoughts? Would you play against this? Any other ideas?

I would play against you, but I would really recommend you do more than just that. The Cadian Pathfinders can be used as Gue'vesa, but the Stealth suits won't feel that tau-ey.

Yeah, would need to make the marines more tau like. Hmmmmm

Nice ! That does help. I'll post something once I get to building. Just finished a game with the tau, and am amazed at how wicked they are.

I'm curious about how you could get the high elves into there. Maybe they could be something similar to Exodites who have aligned themselves with the Tau? Would that even happen?

I was thinking make the high elves mages into possibly etherals? Or make shadow warriors or spearmint into kroot and have elves on horses as the riders maybe even ha so many ideas.... And I'm open for anyone else's ideas, and if anyone else wants to join me in trying this idea, please do and post your results here!

Shadow Warriors as kroot would be good for eastern style mercenaries, given suitably long rifles as a trained militia of sorts. If done well this could be a fantastic and unique army.
