With all of the rumors of an upcoming Khorne-themed CSM update, it might be time off dust off Kharn and his World Eater buddies. They have currently been shelved in between Apocalypse appearances, where they die like ineffectual gnats inside of Barrage template.

Wouldn't get your hopes up :p, probably won't end up being all that good due to the hype of a needed update. Though if I'm proven wrong, it may lead me to start my own khorne army!

Are you talking about the dataslate they released over christmas?

I'm pretty sure the supplement coming to 40k because of the End Times is likely just demons

The Dataslate is nice too, but I'm really hoping for a bit of an update for the Khorne CSMs in the new book too. Hopefully I'm not just being overly hopeful!

The rumors for the CSM right now are, broadly:

1) Combining CSM and CD, removing the need to take allied detachments
2) Making the VoTLW upgrade unlock certain special rule upgrades, like outflank. Will these replace icons? IDK
3) Improving the physical kits. Updating old models, providing more bits, etc
4) Releasing 4 supplements, one for each god, providing special rules, relics, warlord traits, maybe even units, but that's hopeful given the Grey Knights, Necrons, and Blood Angels new Codexs. I don't think those three had any new models.

Will these updates make World Eaters competitive? I have not a fething clue!

Rumors tend to be false more often than not. I'd surely not build an army based on rumors.

Clearly someone doesn't pay attention to rumours. Anyway, do you even read? The OP said supplement so why did you think that he was talking about a dataslate?

Because the upcoming Khorne focused release is meant to be for fantasy, not 40k. Ergo, he eliminated that possibility and concluded that the only thing left he could be talking about was the Xmas dataslate (that was complete trash).
