I only play WFB about once a year, so forgive me on being super rusty on the rules...

I recently picked up the new Verminlord kit. It's on a 100x60mm base, the same as the Bells and Abominations, but it mounts onto it "sideways". When moving into combat, how does that function? Does it move with the longer width side facing the enemy, or does it move like all the other rectangular bases and just crabwalk sideways?

One of the long sides is the front.

How is that confusing?

Should this forum not be welcoming towards new members? How would you like it if you were completely new and you received obnoxious answers to your questions? You probably wouldn't come back to this forum.

To be fair i think its really wonky that it is mounted that way.

Its pretty much only because of the tail.

I'm not sure how it was obnoxious.

I was just wondering how using one of the long sides as the front was confusing?

In all fairness, he wasn't being a dick about it and it wasn't really a silly answer.

He gave him a super clear answer and asked how it was confusing...

Pretty helpful if you ask me...

Hi,

I just thought it was different than anything else in the game that I was aware of. Monsters usually were mounted the other way, and it's certainly an advantage (or disadvantage depending on how you use it) to have the increased frontage.

I assumed logically it did move with the long edge towards the front, but just wanted to double check.

Thanks for the quick answer!

As an FYI, the Soulgrinder and Hellflayer are also mounted with the wide edge to the front.

I believe treemen are on 50mm squares not rectangles.

Skarsnik is also mounted the same way, with Gobbla at his side. You just treat the mini the same as you would any other of the unit type.
