Under Mephrit is says Mephrit dynastry only. But under Artefacts of Aeon it just says one per army. Im wondering if a mephrit Overlord can take solar Thermasite AND nightmare shroud.

Can you give me a little more than that? My friend and I are having a discussion and we both remember reading you cant mix relics such as chaos relics from different books (such as black legion with regualr chaos) Is the necron situation different because under artefacts of aeon the wording is different?

The situation is different because the wording is different.

I assume you have the books... just read them. It's pretty straightforward. There is no restriction telling you that Mephrit 'Crons can't select from the Codex: Necron "relics".

7 relics? How are you getting more than 3 on a Lord? Only 2 from Mephrit as God Shackle is Crypteks only, where are you getting the other 4 from?

Let's say you have an Overlord in a Mephrit-Detachment.
He has permission to take Codex Relics.
He has nothing that forbids him to take them.

The necron codex relics only allow one per model.

One of the Mephrit relics is Cryptek s only so there is no way to get 4 or more relics on an overlord.

Why one per model?

"Only one of each of the following relics may be chosen per army."

I see no one per model restriction.

@ kriswal Read the wargear section where it lists out the points. It clearly states a model may choose ONE of the following.

The part your referring to states that each relic can't be taken more than 1 per army.

Ah! I was looking in the Appendix.

I really wish GW would do away with the Appendix section and just roll the two sections together. Sometimes I think this is one way they get more pages out of the book.

Can Multiple "God Shackle" Relics be taken in an army?

I cant see any limitation in the Mephrit Dynasty and the "Artefacts of the Aeons" state "Only one of each of the following Relics may be chosen per army."

It is there, try reading the whole Necron section of the Exterminatus book.

A little bit more specific, the rule limiting one per model in Exterminatus is on the Relics page at the very beginning of the Blood Angles section of detachments.

Edit: Ninja'ed. So the max a Mephrit character could have would be 2. One from Exterminatus and one from the Codex.

That's great and makes the bargelord scary in CC since we may be able to precision strike out the thunderhammer/powerfist and melta bombs.

What is the best way to explain that to my opponent though?

The best way is just to have the rulebooks ready for him to read it for himself.
