I... actually don't know. Help?

Who do you think is the coolest and most badass warrior/soldier in 40K fluff? I've got to say Ollanius Pius, a guardsman who singlehandedly charged Horus himself to save his Emperor.

I think Pedro Kantor is the most BA of all space marine heros. He makes Captain titus from space marine look like a sissy.

Well at the moment likely one of the Daemon Primarches.

Abbaddon and Lelith also are viable candidates.

I do like that Magun Ra went into the Eye of Terror and steered his home Craftworld back out. That's like an 11 on the badass chart.

Tallarn Colonel Al' Ter-Ay.

Screwed up big time, got his patch up regiment of Praetorians and Tallarn slaughtered by orks, so he died 10 years later making a lone attack on a Tyranid Dominatrix. It is said his last words were "Let me go to my fate brothers... I must have peace from the ghosts that haunt me."

Always thought that was pretty cool random fluff in white dwarf.

I would like to give an award for survival to the gretchin who used to bear the Lucky Stick (i don't remember his name) who died at the age of 19 after being crushed by Ghazkull enormous butt. He was the single most badass member of the proud gretchin people and he deserve a place beside the inevitable list of Primarchs, Phoenix Lords, Space Marine Champions, Daemons and other (real) badasses that will follow.

Well...technically...a "warrior" is an "experienced fighter", so...I'll go with either The Nightbringer or The Outsider. The former imprinted his image in the memory of all generations of weak races to come and the last can make entire hive fleets run away in fear just by...being there. On top of being the most powerful beings in the entire corporeal universe

Willful suicide generally isn't a good trait for a soldier.

Also, the answer is obviously Kharn. His body bag is incredibly large (IIRC it's easily cleared a million), and he doesn't pull bs psyker abilities like Dak'ir, and he engages purely in melee combat. Plus he's the physical pinnacle of an Astartes, as there is no greater Astartes warrior.

The Emperor, obviously. The guy managed to guide the entirety of mankind over the course of 20k years, got it out of the Age of Strife, locked up a Star God under Mars, reunited mankind back under one banner, created the greatest fighting force the galaxy has ever seen, strikes fear into the hearts of the Chaos Gods, nearly made his own Webway, and he's even a nice enough guy that he didn't outright obliterate his favorite son because he loved him. Even in a state of near death he's managed to keep the entirety of the Milky Way from falling to Chaos just by being there, sitting in a chair for 10k years, and still commands the devotion of the (still mostly united) human race.

You mean a non-canon piece of fan fiction that doesn't even try to be factually correct and is focused on comedy? That has no relevance at all in a discussion of officially produced and endorsed background material?

Woah, cool down there. If the story of Ollaniud Pius actually happened the 'quote' above is correct. He did have some huge balls

You mean committed suicide. Unlike when soldiers jump on top of grenades to save their comrades, Pius did nothing. Pius didn't save the Emperor, he didn't save Sanguinius, he just got swatted away by Horus. His sacrifice accomplished nothing besides getting himself killed, and was as pratical as charging into a pike formation and getting impaled.

Plus his story doesn't make sense and it's for the better if Pius gets wiped from the Horus Heresy. Somehow an Imperial Army soldier teleported onto the Vengeful Spirit alongside the Emperor, because reasons.
