The Targeting Relay rule on the Triarch Stalker says "All friendly non-vehicle units with the Necrons Faction within 6" of at least on Triarch Stalker add 1 to their Ballistic Skill." So does this mean a unit of Necron Warriors would gain the benefit to their Ballistic Skill if just a single model is within 6" or does the entire unit have to be within the 6" radius?

A unit is within 6" of another if at least one model in the unit is within 6", they don't all have to be (they would if it said "completely within" but it doesn't). Go right ahead.

I asked a similar question before in another thread and got the opposite answer. I was told that the whole unit would have to be with the bubble range.

Check the Measuring Distances subheading right at the start of the rules. "Unit within" means the closest model in the unit has to be no further than that distance from the source, "unit completely within" means the furthest model in the unit has to be no further than the distance from the source. In the Necron Codex the Triarch Stalker clearly says "units within", not "units completely within"; whoever told you otherwise was mistaken.

Are you sure the other question wasnt on models, not units?

regardless, the rules are clear here - a unit is within x" if one model is within x".
